Does the Job
My new video camcorder has an auto opening and closing lens cover. OK but it is quite fragile and with the lens hood removed to make carrying in a shoulder bag easier the cover is vulnerable to damage.Enter this little lens cap. Nothing new or clever about it but it does the job perfectly, hangs from the camera strap when not used, it's easy to remove and fit (some slip in fingers) and it costs almost nothing. What's not to like ?I find reviews help my buying decisions. If this helps you please click the "helpful" button so I know I am not wasting my time. Thanks.

Don’t get this one. The “safety cord” is a string.
The lens cover works fine and fits the lens. However, I bought this one because it has a safety cord. I was not impressed to see that the “safety cord” is a string. Yes, a string. A length of string. I’m not sure it is long enough to even try to attach to something on my camera. It looks like a polyester length of embroidery floss. No connectors and it doesn’t fit through the little hole on the lens cap very well. I’m looking for a embroidery floss needle to help me thread the string through the hole on the lens cap. Spend another pound and get something that’s likely to work well.

As expected..
Bought to replace a lost cap for my Canon SX70HS with a 67mm filter adaptor. Clips in place easily and is, for me, easy to remove though I wonder if people with Arthritis would find is a bit more of a challenge as the springs are quite firm.

Perfect.
Absolutely brilliant. It not only clips on easily and firmly but is quick to detach, (important when subject matter appears out of the blue as it does when filming wildlife). Moreover it fits so strongly over my x2 adapter on the front of my camcorder that if I need to whip the adapter off to widen the shot I can leave it dangling free via the cap wired to the camcorder strap. That felt risky the first few times but now I do this regularly without any concern!

Fits Well
I’ve had this a little while now and has been used regularly. I bought this as a replacement for another brand that was ill fitting and eventually I lost it somewhere unknown. This fits really tightly and securely and hasn’t unintentionally come off once in many excursions with my camera. It’s not branded as shown in the picture and I prefer it plain. If you need a cheap replacement lens cap you can’t go wrong with this one, highly recommended.

A bit of a faff
I bought this to replace a lens cap that I managed to lose. It fits what it is supposed to fit, but my grumble would be that the string used to attach the cap to the body wasn't attached to the cap. It took a while to attach the string to the cap, because the hole on the cap was so darned small.

Just the job
I'd lost the cap that came with my Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8. The original Sigma lens cap was utter crap and would fall off for fun with the merest of slight knocks. This thing grips the lens far better and feels much more secure. Bargain.

Effective and strong
This product fits my Panasonic 12-35mm lens. I attached the small thread from the hole in the cap (knotted) into a loop around the base of the lens to secure the cap, which I would probably lose if not tied on!
