This champagne/sparkling wine opener really works! I often have trouble opening champagne or Prosecco and use various tools with a protective towel cover to pry their corks up. A friend has this opener and shared the link. The opener just came and I had great, easy success the very first time. Almost no effort. Follow the directions-very easy. Will order again to give as gifts. Highly recommend.

You get the pop sound and the opener is very easy to use

This opener is a snap to use. I open a lot of sparkling wine bottles and this opener is a hand saver. Twisting the cork out by hand can be very hard; using a jar opener is better but still requires more hand strength than a lot of people have. This product is the solution. Place the grippers around the cork and lift up the handle with almost no effort -- and voila! you're good to go.I wish the manufacturer made an opener for still wines.

When it popped the corkscrew out it also pulled off a piece of the bottle. So, the whole top was the broken glass piece. I was so afraid to drink the champagne and am still afraid to ever use it again. I have no idea why it did that.

Easy to use and store for opening wine bottles.

This is a really easy way to open a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine without any fly-away cork issues. The opener literally pushes the cork up out of the bottle while keeping it covered and you in control at all times. Unfortunately, just as I was getting ready to use it for the first time one of the 'pins' holding the fold down arms to the top came out and one arm was separated from the whole unit. Fortunately, I did not loose the pin and was able to reinsert it and re-attach the arm. I proceeded to open the bottle without any other issues and was surprised and delighted with how easy it was. Afterwards, try as I might, I was unable to get the pin to fall out again. Meanwhile, I have seen no other construction issues and will continue to use this champagne bottle opener when needed but will be keeping an eye on that pin to make sure it's secure. I would have given this product 5 stars but for the one issue.

I've had good luck with the "grip" and "four blade" Champagne openers over the decades, but stuck corks do sometimes challenge. I'm a believer that since the winemaker went to a lot of trouble to get those bubbles in the bottle, it's my job to get them into your glass; so no "POP" on opening. I found this new style opener accomplishes that with little effort. The device contains the closure so there's no broken lights and the opening is controllable so there's little loss of carbonation. Excellent for people with diminished hand strength. Worth the money.

I am the designated champagne bottle opener in my household and despite my considerable experience, I still worry about the cork slipping through my grasp and leaving a wanton trail of destruction. Have a brunch. Show people your brand-new superpower.Oh, I suppose I should mention something about the product rather than just my experience using it. It's solid, is well made, and feels nice in the hand. It has a nice satiny finish to the metal and it is held together by pins, not screws so you should have to ever worry about parts coming loose.
