Does what is says
Whilst I don't stream anything myself, I help with AV in some local churches and needed to make myself familiar with OBS. I was looking for a cheap HDMI Capture Card to feed one of my video cameras into my laptop and this one popped up as an Amazon suggestion. More expensive than what I needed (which was a sub £20 adapter from UGreen), this one had pass through and radio line input. One of the churches has quite a rats nest of adapters and cables taking feeds from two cameras, a PC running Powerpoint, and audio from the mixing desk and one of the cameras - feeding it to a weekly Sunday livestream (using OBS), as well as a projector and two monitors in the church. There were problems with the audio from the mixer and I wondered if this could simplify part of the setup and make it easier to troubleshoot. I tested it on my laptop and everything seemed to work so rigged it into the church system (removing the need for several cables and two adapters). It worked great, tidied up a lot, and made it easier for me to then get the audio right.I'm only working with HD (not 4k) inputs, and 25fps is plenty, so I can't confirm if it's any use for gamers who like higher frame rates, but for more general video work, I'd certainly recommend it.My problem is that it's now become part of the church setup (I haven't the heart to take it back), so I need to decide whether to buy another for my own needs, or just go with one of the cheaper ones...

Good but not excellent.
Don't get me wrong. For it's price it works very well. The pass through video signal has a very small lag and small drop in quality. You will feel it in first person shooters but it's useable. To record 4k 60fps you will need a powerful computer. my mac m1 air can do only 2k 60fps recording. Would be nice if there would be an internal recording option to mitigate that issue. but overall is a very good capture card i don't think there is anything better for the price (i bought it when it was discontinued down to £80)

Very useful and good quality

Works amazingly
Using it with a ps5 and iPad / MacBook Pro, there’s no perceptible lag, it’s as good as having a monitor connected to the ps5. Many options on the MacBook Pro, a bit less on the iPad but still absolutely brilliant

Did not work straight out of the box
Would not pass through or capture any video from any sourse or display resolution. Sent it back and got a elgato instead

Complete streaming device that is perfect for beginners..
The media could not be loaded. UGreen Video Capture Card, HDMI to USB C consists of one device, Note: amazon store page actually shows two, but it is unclear as it was meant to represent the front and back.I have owned a product previously from 'UGreen' which was very good, so I have 'high hopes' for this Video Capture card and the great thing is this does not disappoint.Contents inside the box:Video capture deviceHDMI cableUSB C to USB C cableQuickStart card and ManualThis model I am reviewing is the CM700, the capture device is compact, the top, front, back and bottom of the shell is made of metal and the sides are vented plastic. It is self powered when connected via USB C to your PC/Laptop. Each of the vented corners have RGB lighting to indicate it's powered on. Once connected to Windows 11, the device was automatically recognised and drivers installed instantly.Let's make something clear, I am a complete novice towards live streaming or capturing video from consoles, not something I wanted to do previously until now. What I am aiming to achieve is to be able to capture gameplay footage from my Nintendo switch and also be able to display the live game screen/video on my laptop screen. Coming to this as a complete beginner, I thought it was going to be a daunting task. Long story short, it was not hard at all, following the very helpful 'quick setup instruction card', I was guided to download the free OBS Studio software for windows 64bit, installed that. Within 30minutes I had my Nintendo Switch Screen on my monitor, it was excellent video quality with no noticable lag, even when playing the Nintendo Switch Luigi mansion 3 game, using OBS studio on the laptop monitor screen.Final thoughts: I am extremely happy with this product and its impressively easy in setting up and use. If you are like me and a beginner then you can't go wrong with giving this a try. There is without doubt a plethora of features that the UGreen CM700 has to offers, I will explore that in time. I'd go as far as saying this is a worthy product and could accommodate more advanced pro users. For now, it did what I needed to do with no prior knowledge, all with minimum fuss, and the recorded video quality that is equal to the original. Excellent and Recommended.
