The first clue was that, unlike in the product description here on Amazon, there is nothing on the packaging of the item that mentions anything about how long it keeps food hot or cold for. Tried it out, poured boiling water into it first to warm it up, then put my hot food into it and sealed it up. 4 hours later - cold.Such a shame as I really want a wide-mouthed insulated container but no one seems to make them (not ones that actually do keep one's food warm that is). It's a nice, well made, stainless steel pot with a tight fitting lid and a good size. It just isn't insulated unfortunately so if you're looking for that, don't bother with this one

This is a great food flask. I brought this for my son to take hot food into school, for his lunch time each day.He's been using this now for just over 2 months. This food flask always stays hot for well over 5 hours. As I make his food fresh each day at 7am and come midday 12noon, the food is still piping hot. It's also wide enough that you can put noodles and pasta etc.It's easily cleaned, as the opening to the flask is very wide. The only down side would be is shame it doesn't come with a fork, but this flask is still fabulous and well worth the price paid.I'm thinking about purchasing a second one for myself too.

I purchased this about 9 month's ago and has been good but it doesn't keep my porridge warm for more than 3 hours. It is probably better at keeping soups warm.

The quality appears good. They are made by a British company, but manufactured in China. The vacuum is contained by a bitumen plug on the base. The first one I ordered was broken, and so the vacuum was lost. It was useless because of this. The replacement was better and the vacuum made the base concave. It does keep food cool for a few hours, but all these types of wide opening flasks allow hot food to cool down or cold foods to warm up due to the large rolled edge at the top of the flask allowing heat leakage. If you pre-cool in the freezer the lid will not attach, otherwise the lid seems reasonable secure. I have not tried it with liquids (just salads). I’m not sure that I would transport it by the lid handle.

I read all reviews before buying and I was concerned as there are some negative ones. I bought this for my husband and it will stay warm for like 6 hours if you do the following:- boil kettle and fill lunchbox with water. Rest lid on top (don't screw as it will be hard to re open). Leave for 5 minutes-Microwave your stew/curry/chilli/pasta for a long time and get it REALLY HOT. Too hot to eat.-Pour out water-Put food in lunchbox-Seal lunchbox, SCREW TIGHTLYMy husband works outside and this has been an absolute godsend. You just need to use it properly, hope this review helps! Have a great lunch!

The small plastic pressure value falls out easily and can get mixed in with the food. Mine fell out after the first use and I think I ate it. That value also lets food enter the lid cavity and cannot be removed or cleaned properly providing a perfect environment for bacteria to grow, so its a health hazard. The lid also does not stop any of the heat escaping so food cools down very quickly and its also difficult to remove without making a mess and I'm a big bloke.Its a real shame it has these flaws because the size and shape is good, but its just not safe to use.

good as lunch container or for camping

Mi sono fidata di alcune recensioni, e ho sbagliato. Dopo poche ore il cibo è a temperatura ambiente, quindi tanto vale portare un contenitore normale. Inoltre a volte faccio fatica ad aprirlo. Mi sono veramente pentita dell'acquisto.

Per 3 - 4 ore mantiene a una temperatura accettabile (tiepido - calda) gli alimenti, ovviamente a patto di fare un preriscaldamento con acqua bollente (come suggerito...).Circa le difficoltà di apertura da altri menzionate, io non le ho riscontrate, premettendo ovviamente che ci vuole un po' di forza per aprire il tappo (non è per mozzarelle, in sintesi, anche se le può contenere al suo interno...).Acquistato usato come nuovo (ed era nuovo) per 5,88; a questo prezzo lo consiglio assolutamente.
