Well made
What can I say I'm obsessed with my new tool. I have wanted something to trim my many large agave plants for yearsand was unable to figure out what would work. Tried saws and the hoe etc nothing worked without an extreme amt if effort UNTIL I got this. Lightweight super well balanced blade cuts my very lg agave plants like butter. Easy to use long enough I don't have to reach too much to get into the tighter spaces. Battery seems to last forever. Price was super good. Needless to say I'm very satisfied.

Great for small jobs
Solid tool for the money, variable speed, fairly powerful for a battery operated tool, good for small tasks around the house

hard to load blade, slow charger
Pro: 1. Nice, attractive tool. Looks to be well made of quality materials, and does cut nicely, even with low quality blades provided. 2. The idea of a battery reciprocating saw is nice after using an electric one and hauling a long extension cord around. 3. Reasonably well balanced with battery attached.Con: 1.Blade is inserted and removed by twisting a lock device counter clockwise. This knob is small, and extremely hard to get a good grip unless you have a very strong grip and calloused fingers. also must be extended some from bottom to even get a good grip. 2. Batter showed 2/3 charge when packaged arrived. After testing, still showed same level, but charging required over 2 hours to get to full charge. The furnished plug in charger cannot supply enough current to do more than slow-charge the battery. So, flip a coin to decide if this tool is for you. Okay for light duty, short use with lots of time available to recharge between uses, especially if you run the battery down.

Update: Great Customer Service - Got a Replacement - Not Bad But Time Will Tell
Update 8/25: Even though I didn't ask for one, they reached out and first addressed my concerns and then sent me a replacement saw. The new one works fine with no smells of electrical issues. I am overly impressed with this place and will be keeping them in mind for future purchases. I would suggest you give them a try because their tools are pretty good and if there is a reason they will work with you - fairness online still exists!I ordered this saw to use around the yard and also to let my parents borrow it for a while. That is actually where it is right now, and I thought I took photos but apparently did not. In general, I would say that I like this saw and it will do the job for light to medium/light projects, especially for trimming up some smaller trees and shrubs. It should also do the job on smaller pieces of lumber like 1xs and smaller, or trim boards better yet. There are a few issues which I want to bring up. First is that the saw has sort of a burned smell inside like wiring; I have smelled this on other powered devices, and it often means that something is wearing out inside. So far its working but I am a bit concerned with its probable lifespan because of it. Secondly, they only give you one battery which at this price point is really not acceptable, especially when you are talking about a power tool that is a saw. Saws tend to go through batteries a lot quicker then other tools and to only give you one is just being cheap. A third point which is also related to the battery is that you charge it by plugging the cord directly into the battery. I really don't like this set up at all, they tend to wear out sooner and/or are more likely to get damaged - they really should have included a charging station. A final point is that the blades they provided are rather cheap and only are somewhat effective. I ended up using some of my own name brand blades and they work better. So, in general I will say that we will use it and see how it works, which for now is ok but time will tell. For the reasons I have mentioned I am only going to give it three out of five stars and if the burned wiring smell leads to failure or worse, I will be sure to come back and update my review.
