Q: Ca i use it for music aplications? For drum players perhaps

This year defender is good for guns ,talking, I have worn whenever loads noise even work well with chainsaws, but drums I do not know but I would give them ago at the price.

Q: My old napiers had foam type cuffs whilst these look like white rubber - am i correct? has the design changed,if so what spare cuffs do i need please?

Hello to you,ref the ear defenders, if you pull them out to full length of adjusters they will go under chin, and they work very good for most noise.

The latest version does not come with any spare foam cuffs but is factory fitted with a new long lasting rubber type cuff.
