Recoil Starter Replaces for Honda GC135,GC160,GCV135,GCV160 EN2000 Generator 28400-ZL8-023ZA/1

While the unit was relatively easy to install...I first had to modify (drill larger) the 3 mounting flange holes on this unit, despite the fact that it is sold as a drop-in replacement for my Honda engine.So far the unit appears to be compatible for operation...but it is noisier than the original for some reason.

Quality part for my Honda lawnmower engine. Would have given it 5 stars but I did have to drill out the bolt holes a little to align with the existing holes on the engine. Piece of cake because the part is plastic. Took 30 seconds

The recoil starter worked great. It was a very reasonable replacement for the original and required very little to install. And it works! At least as well as the original. Time will tell if it holds up.

Lists GCV160 as a model for which it should fit but was too small for my GCV160.

This was a great find as my lawn mower broke and this was the best find as the original is hard to find. The only reason for 4 stars is that you have to drill out the screw holes for it to properly fit. After that it works fantastic and I will definitely buy again.

Arrived on time and was direct fit. Is plastic body but seems plenty strong. Works as good as original. Can't beat the price

Item will not fit existing mower. Did verify that model number was listed. When came in and attempted to install was the wrong size.

The holes for the bolts needed to be drilled out carefully in order for replacement starter housing to seat properly. Once that's done, it fits & works fine.
