GREAT RAZOR BLADES … Every Other Razor Blade I Have Purchased In The Last 20 Years A Junk
These blades are stainless steel and are of exceptional quality. I have found no blade comes close in sharpness and durability. Every other blade I have come across are junk and it is getting worse as time goes on.What is this world turning into if most things are getting cheaper and costing more !!!

Highest quality just like the old days
You will be thrilled with these blades, period. I've been frustrated lately with the quality of single edged blades, but these GEM blades are possibly the best I've ever used.I've been a hobbyist forever, and homeowner for 35 years, so you could say I've used my fair share of blades!Sometime in the last 10 yrs we started seeing lots of very thin and brittle blades. You know the type.Anyway, the GEM blades are really terrific. They are easily the sharpest single edge blades I've ever used ... almost comparable to double edge blades, and they are as thick as on the old days, and strong.

#1 for cleaning glass cooktop
Has to be stainless or it rusts out in 1 day. When the stove top is slightly damp, one of these 100 blades in a metal blade holder will scrape any and every thing off the glass surface without any effort whatsoever. Able to simply finish cleanup with a paper towel. Haven't had to use cook-top polish more than 6 times per year since switching to cleaning vinegar, dove soap, blue scrubbing sponge and this non lubricated single edge stainless steel razor blade. BTW the lubricated model cost more and is for shaving. Not these.

Work great in my Micromatic
I bought a GEM Micromatic open comb on an auction site for $6 including shipping. I was looking for blades and found these for $17. I was a little skeptical about using them, but then I went to another shaving site and they sold them for $25 plus shipping. There were 10 reviews for the blades there, all five stars. So I bought them.It's not the same as a double edge safety razor. You have to concentrate on what you're doing. But it gives great shaves.I do three passes, but I could probably get away with two passes.The only drawback I see is that sharpness falls off considerably after about the sixth shave.

If there's a problem - you're out of luck!
I bought one pack of these, and they were all great. I bought a second pack before I was out of the first, b/c they are not always in stock. When I opened the 2nd pack, I found the blades drag across my skin terribly. I tried a different razor - same problem. A different blade - same problem. I contacted Gem - twice. No reply. So, if you get a good batch - they're great. If not - you're out of luck!

NOT for shaving!!!!
These are uncoated, and I bought them to use in my GEM razor. But you can't shave with them, as they're not coated. Probably great for scraping sticker off your windshield, though....
