Absolutely incredible
This has been and always will be one of my favourite books of all time. The plot is incredible and so detailed and the shmut is insanely hot!I love the emotional connection just as much if not more than the physical connection between the MMC and FMC.I have re-read it so many times but it doesn't matter how many times I do, it never gets old. If anything, it gets better!5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4🌶🌶🌶🌶

Torn on this one…
I loved this book initially. I think the building of the relationship between Matteo and Sofiya was genuine and touching. I loved the FMCs strength, mixed with genuine and very likeable vulnerability. The idea of her having a disability appealed to me and I like that it wasn’t glossed over but portrayed realistically.I found Matteo arrogant but I guess a Don would be so I was ok with it.But then something major happened and he betrayed Sofiya. After that the romance was just ruined for me and the Fmc just came across as a naive fool for simply forgiving him.The only real hero in this for me was Angelo and I wish we’d seen more of him.I gave four stars because I think it was a well written, engaging story, but as a romance it was just ruined for me. I haves the MMC by the end.

My favourite mafia romance so far!!
Recently I've been on a mafia romance binge and I have to say so far this one's my favourite! Sofiya's character was beautifully written, the way she deals with everything thrown at her and the inner strength she has is impeccable! I love Matteo's jealous possessive side but more than that the way he cares for those close to him although he did some very questionable things i still love him. I really enjoyed the build up to the romance and the dual pov so you can see how they both really feel. The side characters and the banter especially angelo and romero make this book perfection 👌 I have a soft spot for Angelo and hope to see more of him!

Cute book
The MMC Matteo is the Don of the mafia, he makes an alliance in an arranged marriage with the FMC Sofiya. He is brutal, rough and standoffish, this will be nothing more than a business deal and roommates. Sofiya is just happy to out of her father’s house and takes pleasure in the simple things in life. Her softness melts his outter shell and allowed him to realise that he can still have his family close and be open with them and protect them without having to push everyone away.I enjoyed the book and it was cute, the writing was good and I really liked the MMC and the banter with the FMC as she got more ‘confident’ in her new home and how she was able to push her husband ‘the big bad don’What I struggled with and felt why the book didn’t get higher stars from me was the FMC and her disability. It wasn’t that she had a disability, it was nice that a main character in a mafia book had a disability and it didn’t stop her, what I struggled with was how it felt like that was made to be the FMC’s whole personality.I know her upbringing meant she was hidden from outside life to hide her illness so she didn’t have chance for much but I felt like all that she brought to the table was her disability, when she continues with life and her sass and not being ‘afraid’ of the mafia men that was great and she had a personality, the rest of the time she was made out to be this weak, afraid, sickly person.I know it was an attempt to bring more light to the disability itself and the struggles and how the MMC didn’t see her for just that but I felt a lot of her ‘inner monologue’ was just singular., that there were random scenes to highlight her disability rather than showing character growth and then the last 3rd of the book felt like there needed to be a ‘drama’ and felt very left wing and sudden and a little haphazard. It was an ok book in all but I did start skipping over pages in the last third I was getting a bit bored3⭐️2🌶️

loved it
This book had everything! It was quite emotional at the beginning loved the way that their relationship developed and that it was a slow burn. They didn’t just have an Insta love get together immediately. The description of her struggles with her disability made me quite emotional and the character development of Matteo was really great to read. Fantastic book, I really enjoyed it.

A 4-Star Light Mafia Romance
I thoroughly enjoyed the memorable characters and the emotional depth of this story. However, I have to admit the pacing in the second half felt a bit slow and stretched out. That said, it didn’t stop me from appreciating the book as a whole.Sofiya, lives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and that added such an unexpected layer of authenticity and representation. Emilia clearly poured care into writing her - it’s not just about Sofiya's struggles, but also her incredible resilience, which really stood out to me.Matteo was a likeable hero, and his gentle, caring nature toward Sofiya made their relationship so lovely to read. However then there’s Angelo - I have to talk about him! He’s such a standout side character. His unwavering loyalty to Sofiya added so much to the story, and honestly, he was a favourite of mine. Here’s hoping Emilia gives Angelo his own book someday—I’d be first in line to read it.

absolutely brilliant
This was such a good book I couldn’t put it down, Sophia had a rubbish upbringing so when she was forced to marry Mateo I loved there relationship from the start and it was nice to read a book and a main character having a disability that didn’t define her in anyway, at first she was quite teary but she became fierce and I can’t wait to read other books loved all the characters

Great story
I really loved this!Sofiya is a the daughter of head of the Russian mafia. Without giving too much away, she has a health condition that is treated as shameful in her world.Matteo is head of the Italian mafia and marries her to form as alliance between the families. She is such a sweet and strong character. I loved reading a heroine who wasn’t perfect and had a medical condition. It was very well written and as someone with a chronic condition, the description of pain and recovery was very well done. There was lots of action and drama but also some genuinely funny lines too.
