Waste of time, misleading, fabrications, misses the point
I kinda figgered what I would find from reading this book. I was right. It is a waste of time. I endured the entire book for one purpose: to learn if he ever explains how to be saved. HE DOES NOT. Not once. This book pretends to find hidden meanings all throughout the Bible. It finds hidden meanings in straight historical narratives of events that happened. It is based on the idea that there are all these hidden meanings. The Bible calls hidden things "shameful". While it is true that Jesus spoke in parables so some people would not understand (the rebellious), and some kinds of writings are meant to be symbolic, the Bible is made of different genres, and finding symbolism and hidden meanings in straight narratives is simply wrong.Kovacs appears to know just enough Hebrew and Greek to be dangerous. At one point, he equates Jesus with the sun, our life-giving star, because the words are pronounced the same. The Bible isn't based on English homonyms. The Hebrew word for "son" is "ben". The Hebrew word for "sun" is "shemesh". No resemblance, eh? In Greek, the words are more similar, but they are definitely not homonyms. It would appear that the underlying theme of the book is that in order to be saved, we must do righteous deeds. This is totally contrary to God's plan for salvation. Sinners are not CAPABLE of doing what is righteous in the sight of God. Rather, God provided a SUBSTITUTE to pay for our sins, and what He requires of us is repentance and trust in Jesus. While Kovacs talks about us being sinners a lot, he never explains that sinners cannot do righteous deeds in the sight of God. He never explains that we are required to repent. He never says that we are to passively receive the FREE GIFT of eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Finally, there are outright falsehoods, like the claim that when we are resurrected or whatever, we take on spirit bodies. But Jesus, when He rose from the dead, had a PHYSICAL body. He tells us He had skin and bones, and He ate meat. Spirits cannot eat.Don't waste your time and money on this book. Read books and watch videos by Ray Comfort instead. Ray Comfort can tell you in just a few words how to be saved. Which Kovacs never managed to do in an entire book. The true plan of salvation seems to be hidden from Kovacs and he hasn't found it for all his hype about revealing hidden messages. Pray for him.

I like how inspirational the message of the book is. It makes you think outside the box and really digs into scripture in a unique way.

Right in front of us, all the time
Joe Kovacs book reveals what is right in front of us all the time. After reading the book, you will not marvel that the King of the Universe can use all of His creation to communicate to us. Why wouldn't He?
