After Much Debate, Glad I Purchased This Powder Measure
I have a Hornady Lock-n-load powder measure which I use with a case activated powder drop attachment. I wanted another powder measure I could use exclusively for pistol cartridges. I argued with myself for 6 months over whether to buy this Frankford measure as the price was so much lower than Hornady, RCBS, Dillon, etc.Pros:It is solidly constructed and I believe it will be in service for a long time. The mounting brackets that came with the unit function well enough. I used the larger bracket and was able to begin using the powder measure immediately. This saved another $35 or so for the cost of an independent measure stand.I can very quickly load powder into cartridges in a cartridge tray. If you use a single stage press, it is faster to use a manual powder drop with a tray rather than using a powder drop that is cartridge activated.Cons:The outside finish is not quite as nice as my Hornady powder measure. For the price difference, I don't care.Initially, the unit seemed to feel a little grainy as I worked the drop handle even though it had been cleaned. With a little use, the grainy feeling went away. Now it operates smoothly.I have not used the measure with extruded or flake powders, but I am pretty sure the reproduce-ability of the drops would be adversely effected. You would be sheering off some of the powder grains as the unit loaded the drop cylinder each time.Accuracy:On the first day of use, here are the weight data for 10 consecutive powder drops of Alliant Power Pistol powder measured with a calibrated RCBS Range Master 750 electronic scale. Target = 6.5 grains.6.5, 6.5, 6.4, 6.5, 6.5, 6.4, 6.4, 6.6, 6.5. 6.4After several weeks of use, the data above is still representative of the units performance. If this variance is within your tolerance, then this powder measure will work for you. Conclusion:I now have a powder measure set up that I can use exclusively for pistol reloads. This leaves my Hornady setup for my other major reload categories. It is accurate within my requirements. I am please with the purchase.

read my post $ !
Product outside cool ,but inside is ruff even polished with micro dremel still way off would need engine brush to hone smooth but it still throws just like the other Customer said .3grain difference on average regardless of stick or spherical powder I did 4 setts of 100 charges and it overall averaged .3 on some very little .4 I have a lee and I thought the Frankford was upgrade but wrong its a boat anchor as far as being dependable I thought I'd give it a try before I dropped 300 on competition 1 ,now I knew for the money what I ordered but o well ill give it to a friend for beginner loads for plinking ,its ok itll work but if you want within 1 point this is not it. its cool ,ps it doesn't fit. r c b s powder stand,The stands too thick. But the stands that come with it are twice as thick as what the pic shows for the Frankford WHICH IS GOOD ALMOST QUARTER INCH ,TOO SUM IT UP ITS GOOD FOR THE MONEY AND THATS IT ,FRANKFORDS TRICKLERS ARE GOOD LOL SERIOUSLY. Sorry Frankford but you need to re-engineer this and bump price up few bucks like on the inner machine work were the best work needs to be

Not as consistent as I hoped, but good for the price.
This powder measure is very heavy duty and easily adjustable. Everything except the clear plastic hopper and end of the handle is made from steel. It operates smoothly and can hold a whole pound of most powders. However, It does not throw charges as consistently as I would like. For pistol charges between roughly 4 and 8 grains it is often off by 0.3 grains between charges. This does not make a huge difference in accuracy for plinking, but I would not be loading for accuracy with this. It seems to do slightly better with larger charges above 20 grains for rifles (0.1 - 0.2 grains off), but again, not as consistent as I was hoping. My Lee perfect powder measure is more consistent, albeit not nearly as smooth and effortless to use. I followed the instructions carefully and thoroughly cleaned every surface with solvent. For the price though this is a great deal. It makes quick work of loading if you use a manual powder measure.Edit:I noticed a bur on the top edge of the plastic powder feed tip. After smoothing it with some fine grit sandpaper the measure is slightly more accurate. It seems to like extruded powders more than finer, smaller types.

No leaks and time saved!
Pleasantly surprised that I get no leakage using this setup. Even more pleased with how much time I eliminated. If you have a single stage press, you may be tempted to go with an actuated solution thinking that it may be faster. What I've found is that using a case tray and this setup, I can charge 50 cases in less than 5 minutes and that includes putting the cases in the case tray.Regarding accuracy, I've used this for charging 30 carbine, 9mm and 380 cases and so far the variance is typically around +/- .1 grain in cases observed with differences. I normally charge my reloads between min and max recommendations; hence, well within expectations. The tool also appears to work well for both fine and coarse powder. For those getting accuracy issues, I'd like to emphasize advice from a youtube how-to video I researched before buying: Carry through your stroke. The design of this tool is similar to those made by Hornady and others. It will chop coarse powders when used properly in a smooth motion. If you stop in the middle of a stroke and adjust while stroking, you may experience issues like others have posted.

Not that accurate
Not very accurate with pistol powders like unique or W231.I will keep it for my rifle power charges that's where this power dispenser is accurate.

Poor workmanship and quality control.
Poor cylinder finish , casting of the body was full of porosity . The internal bore below the hopper cylinder was full of casting splatter that would have broke off and went done my rifle bore .The micro adjustment thimble was so stiff hade to clean and lube it to make it work .Safe yourself some headache buy Lee or RCBS

Good but not as good as it professed !!
Out of 10 charges for 2.8 grains of Trail Boss, they averaged out to be 2.8 grains with variances on the low side at 2.5 gr, ie, 11% under, and high side of 3.0 gr, ie, 7% over. 5 out of 10 was bang on at 2.8 gr.In summation, I am satisfied with the general consistency, but not comfortable with the variance especially on the low side.

This is an awesome powder measure. Couldn't be happier.
The setup is easy. The product is sturdy and solid, especially the bench mounting bracket. There is nothing worse than having that bracket flex in use.The vernier adjustment is fine and effective. I have my loads for any given powder/charge recorded against a vernier value which allows me to quickly get close to where I need to be every time (just a little fine tuning required). The throw arm is conveniently placed and oriented so that it doesn't interfere with the pan.The system is very repeatable with sequential throws within .15 grains for most extruded powders (Varget) and .1 grains for ball powders (CFE223). If you need better than that you should be weigh every throw and make adjustments anyway. The ability to remove the hopper body to "dump" excess powder is a great feature. At first I thought this would be messy, but there is no issue with powder spilling during the body removal. It will require a few (dozen) dry throws to smooth out the action a bit as the internals are a little rough in the beginning, but for the price that is not a big pill to swallow.I did hone out the exit nozzle to prevent some of the coarser extruded powders (like IMR 4166) from clogging up.
