These work great!
The plug in mosquito magnet works flawlessly! I have both a plug in and a battery operated mosquito magnet, the battery operated one is not as reliable as the plug in one. The plug in one fires up right away every time even after a power failure. The battery operated one sometimes, most times has to be restarted 3 times before it starts to work. I like mosquito magnet’s they work! But if I’m going to spend almost $1000 for a batter Operated one of around $ 400.00, for a plug in from now on I’ll buy a plug in and run an extension cord if I have to.

Huge Buying Mistake
Spring 2024: Stored properly all winter. Now will not operate. On Start Up, seems to start normally then after a bit, the light goes to Fast Flash again. Called Tech Support. Turns out I needed to buy CO2 cartridges and an adapter ($80!) to 'blow out' the unit after each propane tank change. Can find NOTHING in the Owner's Manual or online about that. Bought the Adapter and Cartridges. Didn't halp. Now I'm waiting (2 hours so far) for Tech Support to return my phone call. UPDATE: Customer Service finally responded and they did give me a Free Shipping Label to send it in for service. Diagnosed as clogged with carbon because I had not used the C02 cartridges to flush the system last Summer and when storing for Winter. DUH!!! There is nothing that tells me I should have done so! At least they are again repairing the unit under warranty - after I had to prove date of purchase. THAT DIDN'T WORK EITHER: Shipped back for service again. Two weeks later, unit returned AND STILL DOESN'T WORK. Same problem, starts then goes to Fast Flash. Corporate Customer Service of no help. Refuse to replace the unit, wanted me to ship it a THIRD TIME to a DIFFERENT Service Station. Called the original Service Station, they say it had worked normally for 50 hours in their shop. Suggested the ONLY possible problem could be a bad Power Supply. Called corporate again, they FINALLY agreed to send me a new Power Supply Unit. We shall see. MORE TO FOLLOW.FALL 2023 ADDED: In use for over a month now and I am not sure it does much of what it is supposed to do. Very few insects are in the trap. We DO have fewer No-See-Ums it seems, but I'm not sure that is due to cooling weather or this thing finally taking effect. Let the return window close or I might have returned the damn thing. Called Tech Support, they had me send the unit back for service. Told it had a small problem they fixed, by return date, weather had cooled and mosquitos had ceased to be an issue. Stored for Winter.

Mosquito Magnet works!
The media could not be loaded. Incorporated as part of my no-seeums 2-year mitigation plan. Close to the swamps of Georgia and with a pond in the backyard, no-seeums, mosquitos, biting flies, and other vampiric insects are a part of life. One tool will not clear them out. Our no-seeums are in pure form this year... clouds of dive bombers half the size of fleas with a big bite that lasts. Bought the Mosquito Magnet as a declaration of war. The Dub-Ms bring the high C02 levels and attracting heat. I have a nearby zapper as a light attractant in case the bugs don't get pulled into the MM trap and one additional CO2 maker with DynaTrap (light, CO2). There is a noticeable difference. This is only part of the picture. Added fish to the pond that eat mosquito larvae (still need to add a fountain to help with aeration), looked for sitting water to dump out, and adding bat boxes in the future. While MM is not the silver bullet, it is a contributing participant in the dwindling population of no-seeums in my immediate area.Downsides - I can not tell if I have propane or not, so I have to buy a gauge. It costs more to run - it takes propane and electricity. Extra prep to distance from house (long small wire with unique connector; no battery/solar option).I dropped in a video of the no-seeums caught from 2 days of running. While there is noticeable less getting bit, we'll run it for the duration... through the summer and try to think the herd generation by generation. Worth it for us. Good luck!

Wow this product works great...when its working
After getting off the phone with Mosquito Magnet customer service, I had to get on here and write a review.Like most of you reading this now, I came on amazon and specifically searched for the mosquito magnet. I read all of these one star reviews but the mosquitos are so bad where I live in South Florida that I felt like I had no choice but to order this product. The product arrived and I was beyond impressed with how effective it was. Within two weeks the mosquito population on my property was noticeably decreased. Places where I couldn't hang out without being attacked by mosquitos now all of the sudden were clear of mosquitos. Again, I was and am extremely impressed.Unfortunately, (and this is a reoccurring theme in the reviews) after having the Patriot Plus for less than two months, it randomly stopped working. I watched videos on read the instruction manual, watching videos on youtube, and even called customer service. After wasting an hour on the phone with three different associates on three separate calls, the best they could do was send me a prepaid shipping label to have the unit "repaired." This is where the one star review comes in:You would think that the company obviously knows it has a serious quality control problem. The negative reviews on amazon alone make this point. When you spend $350 on anything and it doesn't work within the warranty period, the solution is easy: send a replacement product to your customer asap. Now I have to send the product back for repair and here's what is frustrating...all of the progress I've made on my property by having the mosquito magnet will no be lost and I will have to start over. It takes about 4 weeks to break the mosquito cycle where your property becomes more or less free of the insects. Now that I have to return the product for repair, I get to start the process all over again whenever/if I receive the repaired product. The way this company handle reoccurring quality issues with their product is unacceptable at a $350 price-point. What is so upsetting is that the product when it is working, is amazing. This isn't rocket science Mosquito Magnet...fix the reoccurring quality issues and all of the sudden your company will become more profitable because you won't have to deal with all the returns and bad reviews. It's upsetting to see such an effective product, only to learn that the quality is crap. It makes me want to find investors to buy you out and get the right quality control in place.
