Good try, could be better.
Preserve Measuring Cups, Green. UPC 631740480014My measurements of the 1 cup: length w/handle: 6-1/2", upper diameter 3-3/4", base diameter 1-5/8", cup height 2" at the front (opposite end from the handle), 2-3/8" on the handle side. The 1/4 cup is 5-3/4" long, 2-7/8" in diameter, 1" tall on the low end and 1-1/8 tall on the high (handle) end. The cups are not graduated (no inside measurements) but do have both Imperial and metric capacities molded on the handles. These measuring cups nest inside each other and snap together with a clip system that is built into the handle holes. The plastic itself is the right balance between rigid and flexible - not so hard that it will be brittle and crack but not so soft that the handles bend when the cups are filled. When placed on a flat surface, the cups lean forward slightly (i.e. the rear lip at the handle end sits higher than the front of the cup). These cups are not a good choice if you are working with wet ingredients as the liquid will want to pour out the low front end. The product info tag touts the curved bottom as a useful feature to release ingredients. Unfortunately, the dramatic difference in the size of the base vs the top of the cup (especially the 1 cup) makes them very unstable. The rounded bottoms do not make for a secure landing on the kitchen counter, and I have no doubt that they will easily tip over and spill if I don't put them down very carefully when full. If you want to scoop and pour, they'd work just fine. Set them down and risk spilling whatever is inside.Made in USA with recycled plastic at a good price gets them 4 stars, however the high, unstable design keeps them from getting 5.

Made is USA and environmentally friendly!
These cups are sturdy, and cute, and easy to hold. I wish the marking of the measurement were easier to read, though. I am a middle-aged person, and I don't always have my reading glasses with me. Sometimes I have to hold the handle near the window, and then tip it back and forth in the light to read it. Frustrating. The 1 cup and quarter cup are easily seen without reading because the cups are obvious, but I'm always afraid I'll confuse the 1/3 with the 1/2 so I need to double-check those. It is HARD to find measuring cups made in the USA that are affordable. But these are! PLUS, they're not new plastic (which is unconscionable!!). I love them. Thanks, Preserve! Now make measuring SPOONS!

Decent set of dry measures
I do a lot of sourdough baking, and was needing a non-metallic measuring cup to dip into the prepared starter. These work fine, but as someone else pointed out, the unit designations (i.e. 1/4/ 1/3, etc.) are a bit difficult to see. They are located inside the handle, and you have to have the light 'just right' to read them. If you always keep them all together this probably isn't a problem, but if you have used 2 and they are sitting on the drying rack by the sink like mine often are, It is hard to tell which is the 1/4 and which is the 1/3 C. Also, they are made so that the bottom while flat, is not terribly wide in diameter, and they tend to be just a wee bit tippy. If you are setting up your prepared ingredients with the 1/4 C. dry milk powder, 1/3 C. whole wheat flour, etc., you have to be careful not to bump them on the counter. They do the job, and I'm happy enough with them, but had I gone to a bricks & mortar place, I might have chosen differently. I only say 'might', tho---these are fine, really.

Excellent
I like these a lot. I'm really unsure what others users may be complaining about. The markings: Well there are only four and I could tell the first time I looked at them what sizes each cup was made to measure without having to look at the marking. Maybe this is why the manufacturer didn't make the markings like that of those goofy GIANT BUTTON phones for old people.Clicking together for storage: I have no idea what some other users are talking about, again. The 1C and 3/4C click together just fine while I was using the 1/3C cup and the only reason I checked to begin with was because of other posters complaints.I seriously doubt I'll have one of the cups detached to use it and stand there crying that the other cups don't click together for storage. I have a whole life ahead of me.Price: I paid just under eight dollars for american made plastic presumably made without any crazy chemicals. Nothing of quality is free. Forget the walmart effect of "This is the exact same thing, just cheaper brah!" because it's a total and complete fallacy. If you want a quality American made product, you'll pay a premium price.Overall, a great buy and I'm very happy with them.

Great color and made in USA!
I like that these are made in the USA and made with a safer plastic than most others. My son has metal allergies and these were the only plastic ones I could find that were made in America. I don't experience the same problem other reviewers mentioned about them not standing on their own, at least the full cup size one stands on its own for me. I do however wish I could fit each one into my containers. My metal measuring cups are oval and I can fit them into most of my containers. But theses are round and very wide at the top so I can't fit them into any except my very large flour container. So, I love the color, the plastic made in US but I think the shape could be improved.

measuring cups
I like that these 'nest' properly, unlike other offerings that loosly fit inside each other. These are easy to use and hopefully shall last - I use these particularly for bread making as my wife wont bake bread or bread rolls and I am not a Jaimie Oliver. Having accurate measures is reasonably important.

Lovely item
Simple and effective. The hole in the handle means it can be hung on a hook within easy reach. Easy to clean and snaps together nicely for storage. The only thing that would make this better is it the plastic was recycled.
