Holy Land Market Wall Cross-Olive Wood-Plain-8 In.

These are beautiful, with a pretty colored grain, a nice heft, and are an excellent size for our bedroom and living room walls. We bought two, and being natural wood the grain patterns on each were very different, one having an almost curly appearance (my favorite - I imagine it came from a place where a branch curved) and the other much straighter but equally lovely (my husband's favorite.) While I found these to be perfect for our home, I do need to add one caveat. If you're looking for cabinet maker quality seams, and a polished, expensive look, these probably aren't the crosses for you. While perfectly serviceable and sturdy, and very attractive, the join between the two pieces isn't as tight as you'd find in a very costly piece of art. It is, however, much higher quality than I expected for the price we paid. I'm very pleased, and will look to the same maker later if we need other olive wood products.

I gave away the cross hanging on my wall and needed another to place above my little carving of "praying hands." This was simple and inexpensive and exactly what I wanted. In religion simple and plain leave more room for prayer and contemplation which is infinitely more important than pomp and circumstance in props or people -- or that is my thinking anyway. This is perfect for me and is on the wall at the foot of my bed where I can see it when I go to sleep and when I wake up and remember who really gave me everything good in life.

Beautiful cross, especially in the symbolism of its origin. It is extremely well made and came with a Certificate of Authenticity. I didn't give 5 stars only because the pieces of wood on the cross beam are much lighter than the vertical part of the cross. I wanted to visibly display this cross and did not expect such a huge variance in wood. My personal preference only.

I wanted a solid wood cross for my kitchen and got this one. It's very well made and quite attractive. I think it actually came from Israel and it was nicely made and has a nice maple look and glossy too....very nice! I am pleased with this cross and may get another one, but slightly larger for my main room. Well worth the money and it really was a good deal price-wise here too. 5 stars for this item....I am pleased!

The recipients of these crosses all loved them. The scalloped edge on the cross does not show in the picture, but it looks very nice. The grain pictured does not appear on both beams of all 3 crosses ordered, only on one. The hole drilled in the back for hanging on a wall was off center and made the crosses hang slanted. I drilled a new hole farther down that was on center on all three crosses to make the crosses hang evenly. The seller might want to add to the description of the product.

Exactly as described. Simple and beautiful at the same time.Gave it only 4 stars because of personal preference of finish. I would have liked more of a matt as opposed to high gloss finish.

The crossis BEAUTIFUL!The cross is detailed and soft, and shines.I thought it was plain wood.I was pleasantly surprised.I LOVE IT & my husband even comment that is was a nice looking cross.

This cross is really simple, but so beautiful, and I love that it was made in Bethlehem. I have it above my little boy's bedroom door and there's just something very special about it.

Received exactly as expected.Beautiful cross.Only complaint was the time it took for delivery from US - NJ to Canada of more than 4 weeks.
