Wow! A Tremendous Improvement
I installed this drive in an old Asus laptop and it transformed the performance. The wake-up and log-in routine is completed in moments instead of minutes. The box runs cooler, faster, quieter. It was easy to install and is breathing another few months of life into my old beater laptop. In you have a HDD I suggest you get one of these!

Outstanding drive!
I was amazed at the results of this drive on all my bench-marking. Passmark graded it in the 99th Percentile with a Disk Mark of 24147.4. This is in my gaming rig, and I chose the drive because Samsung seems to be the de-facto go to drive for speed. I could have used a M2, but I have a swappable bay for my SSDs. This lets me boot various operating systems without having to have different computers for my Windows gaming, office, or Linux. Registration on Samsung's site went without a hitch, and Samsung Magician recognized it right away. Will buy again if I need more.

Expensive but worth it
If you buy a hard drive definitely spend the extra to get the Pro version. The data transfer rates are awesome. Worth the investment

Less than a year and is not longer good!
I bought it to replace a memory 5 yo before it went bad, so that I don't lose my work and that's exactly what happened with this one in less than a year.

Speedy and reliable
Love the Samsung SSDs, but wish the price would come down some more. I use the Pro version in servers for the operating system drive. Boots fast and loads the OS and applications quickly.
