Very comfortable
This dust mask is one of the most comfortable masks I've worn. It does seem to filter out dust well so I will be using it for my carpentry work; however, be aware that it is not NIOSH certified and although it states that it will filter out 99.6% of dust, pollen and larger particles, it does not really say how this stands up to the N95 criteria which is for smaller particles. So using this for carpentry should be fine.Be aware that there are warnings in the instructions about not using this mask for abrasives, silica asbestos, heavy metals, or toxic materials (which to be fair is not what an N95 mask should be used for either!).As for the mask itself, it comes in four parts: the mask with the head straps, the filter material and two exhalation valves. When it arrives these parts are separated and it is up to the user to assemble them correctly. This is where I have some reservations and took away a star. The instructions are okay but could be more explicit about the orientation of some parts. Particularly about how the filtering material liner should be oriented. The filtering liner has the company's logo stamped on it so it would seem intuitively that the logo should be upright when inserting the liner into the mask. However, when I compared the shape of the liner to the mask, the correct orientation for the liner seemed to better fit the mask with the liner with the logo upside down.Once the liner is inserted into the mask, the valves' inner core with the silicone valve disc are then inserted through the holes of the liner and mask and the valve outer body placed over the valve inner core so the core can be twisted to lock the valve parts together, thus captivating the mask to the liner. The problem I had with this procedure was that as the valve inner core was twisted to lock the valve outer body to it, the inner core also twisted the liner with it! This resulted in the mask and liner not lining up and the liner getting creases in it because of the twisting. If the second valve is then put into place without the liner being straightened out, the liner ended up with all sorts of creases and mismatching placement with the mask. All in all, the assembly was quite finicky and needed quite a bit of finger contortions to keep the liner straight and aligned to the mask while also twisting the valve core to lock it onto the valve outer body.Once in place it all worked well but it was a bit of a chore to put together. I also have a concern about the valve silicone discs. These discs are quite thin and I didn't like that they can easily come off the valve inner core post they are placed on. Nothing really locks the valve disc on to the post until the 2 valve parts are locked together. While trying to put the valve together, I once found that the valve disc on the table since it had fallen off the post while assembling the mask. So I had to start over for that valve. The mask is pretty good and it comes with 5 additional filter liners to the price isn't bad. The comfort is very good and the filtering quality seems good. I just wish it was easier to put the whole thing together.

Love this - great in the shop, works with glasses
This unit is a godsend. Have had it for weeks now, and it’s great in the shop. It’s comfortable to wear (though it does get warms after extended use, no real surprise there), and works well over a trimmed beard, decently over a thick beard, and is great with glasses and goggles.I think the price is fair too - great price/quality ratio (it’s well made and have proven to be durable).Overall, no complaints, worthy of an excellent rating.

Very comfortable while working in my woodshop
I do a lot of woodworking and like to have a mask on had when I'm sanding or creating lots of dust. I have dust extractors and all but they don't always get the stuff that gets thrown into the air right where I'm working. I can't stand masks that go over my ears...they get very uncomfortable for me very fast. The comfort level of this mask is great. There are two adjustable straps, one that goes around the back of your neck and one that goes above your ears and around your head. I'm able to wear this mask for long periods of time with minimal discomfort. Now, the only reason I took off one star is because of how finicky it can be putting the filter and exhaust port together into the mask. You have to twist the two pieces of the exhaust port enclosure together while sandwiching the filter and mask body at the same time. While you are doing this, you have to make sure that the rubber diaphragm doesn't dislodge and fall out or get crunched in the assembly. Plus, while doing this you have to make sure you orient the exhaust port in the correct position as well as keeping the material from bunching up while twist-locking the housing together. It's kind of a pain in the butt. However, once it is assembled, it does a fair job of keeping the dust out of my lungs while being comfortable to wear. The mask comes with 6 filters to be able to replace once they start getting clogged up. For the price point of this mask I would definitely buy again if this one every breaks.

I do a lot of airbrushing ~ I use this mask for quick light jobs
I have a full respirator for when I am typically airbrushing for a length of time ~ but it's nice to have this easy slip on light weight, light duty mask for when I just need to do short time airbrushing.

Uncomfortable, flimsy, hard to adjust
I am new at refinishing and woodworking projects, though it’s something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time. I knew I needed a mask for sanding things down and paint remover, etc. so when this came along, I grabbed it thinking it would be more cost effective and better for long term use (when doing big projects that would take up large amounts of time). I did my first small project the other day and thought it perfect to test out my mask. I am SO glad I tried it out with a small project first because this mask is not at all what I thought it would be. For starters, trying to get everything lined up and put in those holes was a real pain in the _______ (I’ll let you fill that in). There is no support piece to click it into, just the hole. The edges aren’t even sewn with a finishing stitch, it’s just the raw material. Next, the vent pieces are very low quality, and you don’t get any additional pieces or replacement parts so once something breaks or tears (and they seem like they will) - the little rubber (?) pieces are extremely thin, that is that and the mask isn’t usable anymore. And lastly not only is this uncomfortable, it’s difficult to adjust the straps to make it fit properly. A quarter way through sanding, and I was just holding it to my face instead of wearing it the way it was meant to be worn. I am only keeping this for a back up for now or until I can get a bunch of good disposable masks. They work much better and are much more comfortable than this. Not recommended.

Comfortable to wear
This mask is comfortable to wear and the filter works well with dust. I have yet to use it to block out fumes.
