Military Contractor's Handbook How to get Hired . . . and Survive

This book answered many of the questions that I had, just as the book had heard me ask them. There is something special about spending time with this author. The book paints clear pictures of how to succeed in being hired and conducting the business of a military contractor overseas. The information is valuable and the stories are heroic. Thank you!

This book was quite informative. I am in the process of applying for an overseas Private Security Contractor position as a PSS/ERT.There aren't many books out there regarding this line of work. So, this was nice to find.

5 STARS !!! Top of the line "Handbook".And BIG letters too....nice for "Old Guys" with old eyes...<grin>. Well worth reading if you are even thinking about going "Over There". I just wish Miller had gotten off his lazy butt and wrote it 2 years ago though ...hehehe.....Spent 8+ months with this guy "over there"....he is SPOT ON and funny too!!! Thanks Derek. Good writing apparently runs in your Fam. When does your next book come to fruition ?......

Wonderful book. The author did a good job offering advice, and telling his point of view on all the do's and dont's. I enjoyed him sharing his personal experiences and all his stories of what he has seen!!!!

Derek Miller gives us a glimpse into a world not otherwise seen. We may think we know of soldiers but here we become aware of the challenges faced by "The Contractors" that manage so much of the idea infrastructure of war that used to be managed by the military. You will not look at this in the same way again.

It's easy to see how much experience Derek Miller has had during his time in Afghanistan, as he has created a very useful manual. The scope of information he offers here is impressive, as are the colorful anecdotes he shares. We had no idea how many civilians were employed to care for our troops. Thank you, Derek (and others like you) for the job you have done.

Derek has covered all the bases with indepth clear concise information regarding all you need to expect to do and see if you want to follow this path. This book is both informative and interesting. Wish I had more than two thumbs "up".

I read this book and I just wish someone had written it 7 years ago when I started going overseas.I highly recommend this book for anyone that is planning to take a challenge overseas.
