I usually read mafia books I really enjoyed this book. The heat, love, and the twists and turns. Good book.

Another good story about believable and likeable characters. I have enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to more.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Morgan Bliss has created a beautifully written dark romance with all the angst, mystery, suspense and spice i could ever ask for in a book!!! I loved the storyline it was original, page-turning and filled with drama and action too. This book is a dark Mafia age gap, best friends dad romance. The characters were complex and had an instant chemistry. I loved the suspense and mystery that the FMC and the MMC experienced throughout this book.Mia was funny, independent and very logical. I loved her quick wit and willingness to protect everyone she cares about. Dominic was the leader of the Mafia. He was very intense, possessive and obsessed with protecting his family at all costs. Their chemistry was undeniable and blossomed throughout this book. I loved their slow-burn, push and pull romance that blossomed throughout this book. I couldn’t put this book down waiting to see what would happen next. Bliss did amazing with the way she brought Dominic and Mia's story to existence. I fell in love with both Dominic and Mia, I found them both to be entertaining and intriguing at the same time. I would definitely give this book as a recommendation to anyone. This is an action packed story. It kept me riveted to the end. Mia finds Dominic to be irresistible and be finds her unforgettable. This is how they begin their story of love and family. It takes a baby left at her doorstep to bring them together in the beginning but they find everlasting love even in his dark world. This also reunites Sheila, Dom’ s daughter as they were childhood friends. At first Sheila doesn’t want her father to be with Mia but that changes over time. Mia is strong and is the glue that binds their family together. This story is full of violence against Dominic and because he is a mob boss. This was a bit chaotic for my taste. The focus of the story was definitely on the mafia drama over the romance. The characters had some development her more than him but still felt a bit flat. The storytelling jumped around from perspective and the transitions were a little challenging. It wasn’t horrible but it it wasn’t satisfying. When his daughter Sheila goes missing, Dominic won't stop looking for her. While Dominic goes to save his daughter, Mia and the baby are taken from the house. Mia being smart put a tracker on Vincent so they could be located. I love the story line. I see where the author was going with it. I gave the story 4 stars because it really was good. I deducted a star because there are errors throughout the book. By this I mean not only word errors but it seems like the author finishes a chapter one way, then in the next chapter tries to pick up where they left off but things get twisted around and something else happened? In the last few chapters one important thing happens, but by the next chapter it's as if that didn't happen at all and then the chapter after that a different scenario plays out. It was a bit confusing based on that. Also, it starts out with one problem but by the end of the book it has a different problem and the first issue has been unresolved and completely forgotten about. There were still a couple of unanswered questions as well.
