Q: Has any owner tried cooking on the unit with a carbon steel wok? If so, how well did it work?

yep - works great with a wok ring, but a dedicated wok burner works better and costs less.

Q: Can this grill be mounted on a boat?

I have taken and used this on my Lund fishing boat many times. be careful with the lid, I have set this on the boat carpet and caused a stain from the black charcoal soot that the wood burning causes.

Q: could you cook a pizza on this?

Absolutely !!! I have done it. Either on the wire rack or on a cast iron circular grilling/pizza plate. I use the cast iron circular skillet for meats and vegetables as well as pizzas. The circular skillet catches all of the grease and fats and makes clean up much easier.... I had bought the skillet also on Amazon.
