I purchased this after going through LOTS of reviews and videos about steering wheel locks. It seems like there's a myriad options out there but most of them are cheap and ineffective. I did consider buying one of those big disk things because my neighbour has one, but when I spoke to him, he told me he no longer uses it because of its bulk and the damage it caused to his steering wheel. I also know for a FACT that my wife would just point-blank refuse to use it.Being the owner of a Range Rover and an Aston Martin, I wanted something that was easy to handle, easy to use and easy to store away. I also wanted something that wouldn't damage my steering wheel (both cars have steering wheels that are peppered with control buttons).The Armaplate has a really thick foam disk which doesn't even leave a hint of a mark on the steering wheel. It's super easy to fit to either vehicle and it locks the steering and the brakes. I tend to use it on the car which is nearest to the gate, so the other car is blocked in.For less than a couple of hundred quid, I'm protecting £150,000 worth of cars. If they'd offered a discount for buying two, I'd have bought an extra one - I probably still will do for when the cars are in separate locations. Really pleased with my purchase.

A well thought out piece of security kit that is well built and is very robust. Having used other types of security devices such as those that go around the gear stick and hand brake, around and through the steering wheel, I can honestly say that this device is one of the best I have ever used in 45 years of motoring. It’s an extremely visible deterrent and easy to use, it fits my VW Caddy easily.👍👍

This is a well built device that provides effective security. I can easily understand why it is police approved. However, it can be tricky to put on and lock into place.

Looks the part and it's sold secure status means it acts the part. More hassle then some to fit but does a better job than most, so it depends what you're after. In general it's easier then I expected (15 to 20 seconds after just one or two practice goes) but it would be a chore to fit if you drive with your steering wheel set out a bit as it should be attached when the wheel is in its lowest & furthest in position. However, I have my wheel set up a bit and I tried leaving it where it is, then after fitting this and moving the wheel down it only adds a small bit of play and it does not come close to coming off the peddle. However even if it did it's still a honking bit of metal attached to the steering wheel. My favourite thing about it is the way it fits means is really easy for the criminals to honk the horn accidently when trying to get it off, as happened to me the first couple of times I tried it. Overall pleased with it. May not use it as a daily but if parking somewhere a bit dodgy or for a few days this would be the one I would choose.

This is a very well designed piece of kit, made from highly quality materials. Very easy to fit straight out of the box, and removing is equally fuss-free. There’s a slight play where the circular plate that sits on the outside of the steering wheel is joined to its bar, I presume this is so that it can fit snugly to steering wheels that are a different height in the centre from the rim.

It is not an easy fit around the clutch or brake pedal therefore needed a further security lock as I am unable to work it.

I recent purchased the Armaplate resolute for my BMW and it has been excellent I feel it gives the car that extra level of security that is not technology related, so now you have to get through the electronic systems of the car as well as the armaplate resolute which makes things complicated which is what I was looking for.An Excellent purchase and an excellent product
