Q: Are they water proof?

Shower proof I'd say. But build quality is low rent. They are cheap tho.

Q: Has anybody from experience done long amounts of walking in these and were the comfortable? I am doing a 48.1mile walk soon as am looking for some?

I'm on my 4th pair and found them to be comfortable after wearing them for 12 hour day's out at various Orlando theme parks, they are hard wearing, however, 48 miles is a long way so you have to decide, hope you manage the walk.

Q: Can someone tell me what the European number is for the UK13 shoe ease ?

It’s a 47.5. You can always google it too.
