Works well. Sturdy design. No unpredictable wobble.
This does exactly what I expected and more to be honest. I didn't expect that it could be used on steel but you can use this on steel. The image on the box it comes packaged in clearly states this. It's slightly over priced but I suspect that this is because it is robust, well made and would literally last you for years with continuous use. It's sharp but not too sharp as to make an excessively large countersink. You can gauge your countersink depth by using this in small incrementations. It's a perfect size for my M18 Milwaukee Fuel, compact enough to keep in your pocket without you noticing and its a suitable length for my needs. I'll use it a lot and with some tlc I suspect that I'll get at least 2 years from it. I'd buy this again if and when needed. There's no unpredictable wobble when you use this as it is machined to a high standard.

Good drill
This is a well made counter sink drill. The only thing I'm not keen on is the flutes are very shallow so only a small amount of wood can be removed in one cut. Otherwise, a great drill bit.

A weighty, well engineered piece of kit.
Just arrived & first impressions are good.It appears well engineered and is quite weighty for its size.Seems good value. We shall see..UPDATEA reasonable tool to use on 2mm mild sheet steel. It cut just ok. Probably much better on soft woiod.

works on aluminium
Cut screw recesses in aluminium plate easily. Done 10 holes with no sign of blunting.

Solid.
Solid heavy countersink. Sharp but needs a bit of pressure on hardwood.

Disappointing
Disappointing. I needed a hex shank countersink and thought that getting a Makita brand would guarantee quality. I am countersinking pilot holes in new oak sleepers. This Makita is not very sharp and doesn't cut well. I also have a round shank Erbauer countersink which I bought from Scr****x - it is way sharper, cuts way better and was only around a third of the price of this Makita. Expected better quality from a supposed brand leader like Makita.
