DOGSWELL Happy Hips Dog Treats, Chicken Flavor, 32 Ounce

My senior dog loves this. She's got a bit of luxating patella and arthritis so I wanted to find a treat which would be beneficial for her joints. Did I mention she's also is missing half her teeth? She lost the ability to chew hard food so the chicken jerky treats from Dogswell (excellent also) were not an option anymore. She would spend an entire afternoon trying to chew the treats only to make them very soggy and gross before swallowing it whole. I felt it was a choking hazard.These strips are thin and soft, and they're full of equally as good nutrients and ingredients. I can break these easily into tiny pieces to treat her every time she goes outside to pee (which is a lot because she's old!!) The only thing is they harden up if they're not as fresh anymore. My dog is about 6 lbs so I don't give her the entire strip as she pees about 10 times a day and would be eating far too many. I think it's not a problem with bigger dogs, but since she's so small, I try to buy smaller bags to keep it fresh. Amazon has this huge bag at such a great price that I couldn't pass it up. I opted to buy this bag and keep it in a sealed airtight container. I'll remove about 10 strips at a time and put them in a separate ziplock baggie for treats, and refill as needed to keep it fresher longer.

My 11 1/2 years old dog really likes these treats and seems to be moving more easily. They help her to be more comfortable. She's always been enthusiastic about walks, but had slowed down a lot in the last couple of years. She is not a puppy again, yet she seems more active. Unfortunately, she's lost some teeth, so, the "soft" chews are perfect for her.

We have been giving our 16 year old dog these Happy Hips for years and she absolutely loves them. She even knows what time she gets them and always lets us know when we forget. I think the Glucosamine, Chondroitin are the key to her being so active in her old age. She still wants her walkies twice a day, thanks to Happy Hips.

They were hard and seemed stale when I opened them. They did not last as long as usual...went bad and gave my dog diarrhea.

The vet prescribed a glucosamine chondroitin supplement that my dog doesn't like. I paid $70 for a big bottle and it's a battle to make her eat one. She had knee surgery and limps if she runs too much. I bought food with Glu/Chon in it, but not enough I guess. These treats have quite a bit of supplement in them so I thought I would try them... She is definitely walking and running better ! Best of all, she loves them, so getting more Glu/Chon into her is easy. It's been a few months and I'm very happy with this treat. And it's made in the USA. No Chinese junk for my dogs !

My 9 year old boxer loves these. Be has had 3 knee surgeries and I use these to get him to work out. He will walk up and down stairs on his own 14 times with a small piece every other trip! My only complaint is that sometimes instead of the strips we get the jerky. Those are impossible to tear up.
