Light weight and compact (nest together), holds well in most soils
First off, for those wondering "larger" should be interpreted as "wider" V shaped, these aren't any larger in the other dimensions than the regular V-shaped stakes. Secondly, these are small overall compared to other long models. If you're looking to camp in sand or snow, these are not your tent stakes. For most soils, these work and represent a wonderful, light weight, and exceedingly compact choice.Pros: Lightweight, nest together (extremely compact), multiple ways to attach linesCons: overall small, won't hold well in sand, wouldn't recommend hammering (based on other's reviews, in my experience they've been bullet proof)Others have been complaining about bent stakes, I have stepped these in for the last 20 or so camping trips I've been on from California to Washington to Minnesota, in many different soils without ever bending one. I've never hammered them in, or took a rock to them, just pushed by hand, then stepped them in with my foot. These have been reliable, and honestly you can pack a couple sets of these for all your needs (setting up other tarps, shelters, etc. around your camp site) without taking up any real space in your bag.

Buy them
Just bought my second set of these (first was for hammock fly, new set to replace the aluminum hooks that came with my REI tent) these stakes are awesome they are super light me take up very little space due to them nesting together. I'm a review reader and read many reviews on these stakes and other similar titanium ones and some people seem to have problems with them bending, after using these dozens of times on trips mainly in the Rocky Mountains pounding them into granite gravel the majority of the time I've never had an issue. You have to realize these aren't made out of titanium to be super strong, they are made out of titanium to be super light. These aren't any tougher than an aluminum stake they are just smaller and lighter, titanium being such a strong metal allows them to make them super thin but still able to withstand a normal amount of abuse a bigger aluminum stake would handle. The best part about these imo are the extra holes cut out through the middle. Sometimes I am just somewhere that is too rocky to pound a stake in, so I tie my line off to a middle hole and then dig down a couple inches and bury it and sometimes put a rock over that and it works like a charm. The holes basically allow this to be also used as a sand/snow stake.

SO LIGHT WEIGHT
But small. I gave it four stars because I haven't used it yet but they came here in a fast time. I have all six of them here and I love how light weight and compact they are. The V shape means they store inside of each other. When they are all stored inside of each other, they measure to half a inch. That right there is amazing. My only thing with it is that I'm unsure how well they will hold my tarp shelter down. They measure 6 and a half inches tall, so they aren't that big. If I have to though, I can do a ground anchor. I might get another six and use those as back up stakes. But if your going light weight and compact, then this is what you want. Now to find a good cord that's lightweight and strong...

way more worth than weight
I haven't used these yet as they just arrived, but I don't care, they're already awesome. Perfect stakes for most of the places I backpack. You wouldn't want these for sand or very loose ground. But perfect for ounce counters. I know I could just make stakes from sticks - but these probably only weigh, with the sack, 1.3 ounces mmmaybe closer to 1.5...The stuff sack is great too. weighs nothing and enough to hold way more stakes or extra guy line, bear line or whatever line. They shouldn't bend unless you're hammering them in with a rock and you hit a rock. You should never slam a stake like this in the ground though - if you hit a rock just take it out and move an inch away and enter the ground a different angle. I also like the shepherd hook end rather than nail end because once you get one out you can use it to pull all the others out very quickly.

Survived my Appalachian Trail Thru Hike
I LOVE these shepherd's hook stakes. They are crazy light weight and very durable. I had one or two of them bend slightly when trying to drive them in with a rock. That being said, they are durable enough you can hit them with a rock.I brought six stakes with me and lost one. The other five survived, and I still use regularly. I would highly recommend them. That being said, you've got to pick the right stake for the right terrain. On the AT the ground is generally softer and less rocky. Shepherd's hooks were all I needed for my tent. Where I live in Colorado I usually take the v-shaped stakes.

which is perfect for a weight-weenie like me
I recently used these on a section hike on the AT and an overnighter at a local trail. They are incredibly light, which is perfect for a weight-weenie like me, but they are also incredibly short and narrow. They perform extremely well in rocky soil, but I'm afraid that in a more loamy or sandy soil they may shift or even pull out during a windy night. I'm sure that they would bend if I tried to force them, but so far I haven't had nearly as many issues as I have had with my aluminum stakes in the past. Overall, they were worth the investment, but I would also bring some wider stakes if you planned on camping in areas with looser soil.

Great replacement stakes
These are excellent stakes, very light-weight and durable. They are 100% better than the majority of the standard stakes that come with tents. They're a perfect addition to my ultralight bug-out bag. They are worth the purchase and that's why it's getting 4 stars.I'm taking off one star because after using them a half dozen times I've found some improvements:- A bigger head for hammering. * If you miss it, which is easy, you can smash those manly fingers of yours. * There's not much for the tent to grab onto so you have to hammer it in at an extreme angle.- Glow-in-the-dark reflector cord would make it way easier to see at night.- Less packaging, there's no reason the stakes need to be individually wrapped and stickered.

Robust medium sized pegs
Robust enough to take continued abuse but still small enough to be easily packable. The larger width gives extra retention in softer ground. These are only 6 1/2 inch pegs and not suitable for really stormy challenging conditions but more than enough for any fair weather camping situation where a beach blanket or tarp or hammock or tent just needs to be pegged and tensioned.

Very small

Strong for weight and size
Nothing to add to product title, they are reasonably light but are stronger than similar sizes steel and aluminium pegs
