Emsa 2217050000 Superline measuring jug, 0.5 litre, transparent/blue

Arrived promptly and well packed. I personally prefer pyrex glass but as this looked good for my needs and is a heck of a lot cheaper, I thought I would try it. Being made of plastic take care when washing it, don't use abrasive sponge as it may scratch. Other than that, it's a good size jug with easy to read measurements. As well as fluid it measures Sugar, Flour and Raisins. Sugar, Flour and Raisins as well as written in English are also written in 3 other languages. It has Germany printed on the bottom and a sticky label on the side stating 'Made in Germany'. That makes a refreshing change than from being made in China. Good sturdy design. I like it. I bake using UK and US recipes, so having all the different measurements on the outside of the jug is so useful, and the little arrows make it very easy to read when filling. I use it almost every day and it is holding up very well. It's light weight as well and had a great capacity. I find it especially useful for gravies and sauces.I tend to hand wash mine as soon as I am finished with it, rather than putting it in the dishwasher.

Nice measuring jug. Plastic but very good quality with multiple different volume measurements. Easy to read and a good pouring spout too.

LOVE this jug. It's huge, big enough to make jelly, blend dips like hummus, make cake mix in for less washing up! It does have German measurements on one side, but has all fluid oz, ml, and cups in English so it's not really a downside. Much lighter than the big Pyrex jugs and less breakable-definitely recommend.

I bought this measuring jug nearly 3 years ago when I was looking for a large size jug (at least 1l capacity) with measures for liquids, flour and sugar. It also measures quantities for raisins, Fl.oz, pints and cups. It is made of a clear substantial plastic material with a wide flat base and it is incredibly easy to use. It does not topple over and it is very precise. I've been using it at least once a week since I've had and it is still in an excellent condition. I tend to wash it by hand but it's been in the dishwasher about a dozen times and the writing has not scratched off at all. The only scratches it has acquired are my fault for using a metal wisk with it but that was to be expected. I would have preferred a glass version (personal choice as I tend to use glass cookware) but I couldn't find one with the same qualities (size, measurements, shape). Very please with this item and I don't think I'll need to replace it for many years yet.

A real surprise considering the price. The jug shows all the measurements I imagine I will ever need and the jug is so sturdy and well thought out. It's not glass, but the plastic is thick and clear, not flimsy at all. I'm delighted with it (well, as delighted as you can be with a plastic jug!)

I love the huge variety of measuring options because I can follow any receipe regardless of whether the measurements are in grams, cups, pints, litres, etc. The only downside is the material - sometimes I feel that it may melt when pouring boiling water. However, I've used boiling water several times and it's perfectly fine, but I feel the material will eventually give up to high temperatures. Having said that, you just get eat you pay for and given the price i think it's an excellent product.

I have been using an old plastic measuring jug which seems more than a little rough in it's measurements. I decided to purchase a new one and this was just the ticket. It is a tough plastic and the measurement lines are really clear. The only reason i didn't give it a 5 is that it already has a few stress marks in the bottom of it - not sure how they got there?- but they don't seem to be affecting it's durability as yet.
