These Are Awesome!
I almost didn't buy these because of a poor customer review. I even wrote her and said I appreciate your review, but I have just got to try them. They looked way too "cool" to risk trying. I put them up about 15 ago. I draped them over my medicine cabinet above my sink. I love them. My diffuser gives off color. One time I had toilet bowel water light up thing that changed colors activated by motion. I love going into the bathroom and see it looking a little on the hippy side. Buy with intention of using for a small area that they would make a pretty accent with. I have some colored lights on 24 a day on a peg mantle in the kitchen. I just love colored lights. I don't know if one strand of fairy lights would give me enough of what I'm used to on my long mantle. But, they sure look fun. I'm glad I bought 2 packs. If I don't save my 2nd box for a back up (I'll probably won't-yep, I won't. I bought a painting from a lady I deal with. These fairy lights will be a beautiful way to show off her work. In I don't see a problem by tomorrow, I'll probably buy at least one more for a back up. Also, It plugs into a USB port which was probably written by the seller, but I payed in no mind. Made no difference. I'm excited about them and going to experiment with the remote, set my second strand above the portrait, and then shop on Amazon. Now, I want that toilet glow light again.Well, I'm adding this after I hung up my second set. I'm ADDICTED to them! I'm buying more. The painting I chose to hang the lights around was painted by someone I do business with. She was so tickled that I bought her painting-I mean, you could tell she was touched. WAIT until she sees photos of what I did with her painting. Who needs picture frames now? She sells longer lengths of. But, I'm just using to accent certain things in different rooms. They're like a nightlight in the bathroom. The remote even has that automatic 8 hours on, 16 off mode. I'm buying at least 2 more boxes. Keep in mind that this is the smaller strand. I like to have more light in a smaller space than bulbs spread out so much (less light in a larger place). I love how light they are too. They aren't heavy, like Christmas lights. My first picture was after I divided the strand basically into thirds. The one over the picture, I let the fairy do the magic. I just picked up the strand in 2 places and laid them over the two top corners of the painting. I let them fall as they would. I never rearranged a thing-just checked the two tops corners of painting to see if they were well rested on there. They're less than $15 bucks. Two people can spend that one trip through McDonald's. I'll probably leave them on 24 hours a day. They're soothing. I work from home, love colored lights, I've got lights on my porch all year round. I love lights in fake plants, mantles, and I love the remote feature!

LEDs work well and were perfect for my project, colors are a bit off.
These LEDs worked very well, the remote has a good range and I was able to run them from a USB battery bank. I plan to get a smaller battery bank which I will mount behind the LEDs but for now it is using a 10000mAh pack I have on hand. Overall I like these LEDs and ordered another set. I measured the current draw from them which is normally about half an amp but ranges from 660mA (white on high) down to 430mA (red on low). I would not recommend connecting these to a computer USB port due to the current draw (IIRC USB 1.0 and 2.0 are spec'ed to provide 500mA). It would be unusual to need to connect them to a PC however, and it would be better to just use a USB power supply (I'd get a 1A or better supply). I did not test them connected to a USB power brick, but the power bank I used is plenty capable and is how I plan to power them anyway.Overall these are great for the right project, but don't expect them to really shine like the 12V LED strips can, these are more for a subtle effect. The one effect I would like to have with something like these, which is unfortunately not available with these since they are not individually addressable, would be to have them twinkling, again not possible with the way these are designed but would still be cool. Since these are just regular RGB LEDs in parallel, they can only change colors all at once, dim all at the same time and turn on or off at the same time (no chasing or other effects like the 5050 LEDs), just mentioning that in case somebody was looking for that that. In fact, with fairy lights I doubt there are any out there which are individually addressable, it's the tradeoff for the size. The color changes are a bit jerky but unless you are looking right at it, not a big deal. The "white" is also more blue and there was nothing I would consider to be a warm white setting on the remote, the yellow is closer to green. None of that was a problem with my project, they just needed to light up and the colors that it does provide are good enough.

From Bad to Good in Mere Moments
The first set of lights I received did not work at all, even after trying everything I could think of and the things the manufacturer suggested. They promptly sent me a new set and were very friendly and cooperative - good customer service is always a plus in my book and seemingly rarer by the day.The lights themselves shocked me at first sight because they were SO little. I guess I was expecting a strand of Christmas-like lights because that's how they appeared to me in the ad. However, they are mounted on a thin piece of wire and each bulb is roughly the size of a match head (give or take a millimeter or two.) I was initially disappointed when I opened them but once I plugged them in and turned them on, my opinion was changed. They are exceptionally bright, the colors are a nice selection that will match about any decor, and the options like flash, hold, fade, etc., give you a choice for whatever your mood might be.The thin wire on which they are mounted made hanging them and shaping them around an octagonal mirror really easy to do; that was a nice feature as well.I have not yet used the timer to turn them off so I can't really comment about it - I'm sure it works as it should, though since all the other features do. I like them so much I really have never turned them off since hanging them.I went from being negatively surprised when I first opened these lights to being happily surprised with the end results after getting them hung up and turned on using the fade mode. They add a really nice touch to the overall ambience in my room and I would indeed buy these again.

makes a high pitch ringing noise when plugged in
Sometimes when turned on in it makes a high pitched ringing noise but once turned off and then back on it stops.

MUST BUY
I got these for my room when I was 20 and they've been on every single day since. I'm 24 now and decided to leave a review. These things are built to last suprisingly 🤣
