I originally purchased the OEM barrel lock version of the Rotopax lock and mount. Unfortunately, the keyed barrel lock froze after using just a couple times here in a sandy desert area, so I ordered this knock off Rulline version and it has worked and performed just fine at a fraction of the cost. I didn’t notice much difference in build or materials quality and the combo lock hasn’t seized up due to the dust and sand it’s been exposed to. This has turned out to be a great value to me and I recommend it.

This mount is just what I was looking for to mount some extra diesel cans to the side of our off-road camper to make sure we have enough fuel to run our diesel heater in the colder months. The build quality is OK. They are mechanically sound and have done the job without fail so far, but you can tell that the quality is not quite up to par with some other much more expensive roto-pax mounts.

I like that this just adds another layer of security. Its not going to be completely safe but it will ward off anyone that is looking for an easy grab.

There's no instructions for this item except for buried in the photos on the listing so I'll add them here - if you need to set the combination (the default is 000), you unlock the lock, then press in the little silver circle that's on the black "knob" of the lock with a pen; while holding it in, turn the numbers to the new combination you want then release the pushbutton and the combination will be set.This is pretty well made - the standoff and 'cross bars" are heavy duty milled aluminum. The mounting base is kinda cheap and the included bolts don't inspire a ton of confidence but they should work just fine. I wish it had an actual key, not a luggage luck, and I do wonder how long it will hold up outside - better pray it works when you need it because there is no backup way to remove the lock if the combo doesn't work.
