This is a nice little book for those that want a basic introduction to the Jo. If your seeking a better understandings look out for DVDs of Nishio Aikido that seeks to return to a harder relationship to weapons and techniques.

The best jo weapon technique book I have seen. The knowledge given in this book on warm up stretches,kata,kumijo is brilliant and easy to follow. A must have book for any aikido student

Does what it says on the tin. If like me, your weapons training is sporadic yet something you love, use this text as an excellent reference and reminder of all your Jo needs!

Very informative, heard poor reviews about photo quality but found them good quality. Extremely informative. I don't do long winded books and this was concise and precise. Well done
