Works great
I ordered this HOPING it was the cord, not my external hard drive (basically new due to having data transferred professionally to it from a failing ehd)...no go.It does work great cuz I tested it on other ehd's and I've had it connected to one since that drive cable was definitely acting up. Honestly didn't realize that cable was going bad, so this is a keeper for me!Hoping the professionals that gave me this drive will fix the issue, but that is another story and obviously doesn't belong in this review since they are not related in any way.

Works Exactly as Expected.
I bought this cable to replace an old external HDD cable. It was for a Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Drive, a pretty old piece of hardware.My old cable caused random disconnects and then stopped powering up the drive completely. It was very loose fitting on the drive end.This new cable fits very nicely into the drive and I haven't had any disconnects or issues since I got it about a week ago.One thing to note, this cable is about 18.5". It is certainly for close connections to your PC. Not a problem if your drive is next to your laptop or on top of your PC. But, if have it on a desk and want to route the cable to your PC below, get a longer cable!

Hard to Find Item
I could not find this hard drive Cable A to Micro B anywhere. Especially a short cord like this one. My previous cord had worn out, and Iwas unable to retrieve my files. Thanks to Amazon for having this item at a reasonable price. And to get (2) in a pack was great!

Au prix que j'ai payé je m'attendais à un fil identique à l'original de Western Digital.Mais non, pas du tout. Le fil est plus long et plus gros diamètre et donc plus raide.N'achetez pas.
