After suffering two major disappointments ordering what appeared to be perfectly made Fedora and Cowboy style hats, both of which arrived crushed and mangled in such a way as to NEVER be properly shaped, thus destroying the full enjoyment of their wear, I decided to drop back and order this hat - a simple, "boonie-style" sun hat with 3.5" brim and mesh crown with side-snaps, draw-string adjustable headband, and drawstring to keep it from blowing off in strong winds! I like the solid, layered and stitched brim because it WILL block that intense sunlight that beams right through straw hats - especially light colored ones!While I'm sure the hat can be wadded up, it arrived sandwiched between two cardboard panels that kept the brim from being mangled - if ONLY the sellers and pacakgers of my more costly "formed hats" had held cush concern for the products THEY shipped out! The hat appears well-made, soft, and fully vented through the crown. The brim isn't super-wide at 3.5 inches but adequte and I can readily shape it to a downward frontal flap with the sides and back having a slight upward deflection! I'm thinking of applying some liquid starch to the brim like in my old military days to make it rigid to a formed shape!Overall I'm happyy with this hat. It didn't cost a fortune, and its seems perfect for the intended task of blunting the suns brightness! I do recommend this hat and this seller.

Just unpackage & shape it over a pot or another sturdy hat. Was ready to wear within a day. Overall, a decent hat for the price.

Great for wearing in the sun while cutting grass, being at the beach, or best yet while hiking. Provides plenty of shade and actually soaks up a lot of sweet and keep it from beading down your face. Allows fast drying keeping the hat cool. Really a great hat for all types of out door activities. Material is not scratchy and feels great while wearing, very comfortable.

When the package arrived, I thought the box was empty. The hat is very lightweight. Even without adjustment the fit was pretty close. Using the adjustment cord, it was easy to fine tune the fit.My only beef is that the hat is shipped folded in half. The brim is then creased at the fold. That crease has not come out and affects how the brim looks. In the description it appears nice and flat. In reality, out of the box it will look you sat on it for a long drive. If you just want a hat and don't care about the appearance then this hat will be fine. If you are concerned about the appearance then be forewarned.

This hat gives you real protection from the sun and it's really cute on! It The fabric is treated so the hat is waterproof if you get caught in the rain. It comes in one size only, but it's adjustable to fit with the chin strap. In order to protect my neck I had to tilt the back of the hat down more, so it would've been nice to have a built in neck protection. It's UPF 50+ this hat also has a sweat band and the way it's styled you can turn the sides up so it looks like a western hat. This hat can be worn by both men and women and comes in many colors.

My partner and I have now matching hats in the same style, because we are outside often and these wide brim, hats are slightly preferable to carrying around an umbrella on most days, especially on the beach. Never too hot in these. Perfect purchase.

I'm really happy about this hat. I've never own a hat this style but I've seen other people and teammates wear them. I've always wanted a hat I can wear while doing warm ups and stretches with the team in the summer sun. Before this sun hat, I always wore a baseball cap. It was alright and better than no hat. However, after trying this sun hat, I'm not planning on going back to a baseball cap any time soon.This hat is really easy to put on and take off. It's lightweight with simple design and color. The chin strap is a game changer for me. I can keep the hat on while jogging, doing dynamic stretches, doing drills, without it falling/flying off my head like my other cap. I can't speak for windy condition though but I don't care. It keeps shade over my forehead and most of my face and neck. Great sun protection accessory. I will pack this hat everywhere I go for sports in the summer.

This is another hat I've added to my ever-growing collection. After a visit to my Dermatologist and her stern warning to cover my thinning, slightly balding head I have started acquiring various hat styles for all my different outdoor activities. All of those styles thus far have their attributes for various purposes. I have several designated specifically for fishing including this one. The 3.5-inch brim is just the right width to protect my eyes and nose and has stitched rows providing rigidity. Heavier weight material throughout helps to maintain its shape. The venting on either side of the bucket top keeps my head ventilated and cool. Those sides can be snapped up if I choose to raise and secure the sides. A drawstring ensures a sudden breeze won't blow it off my head. I combine this hat with Polarized sunglasses to help prevent macular degeneration. Use this well-made hat for fishing or any other outdoor activities. It is now one of my favorites and I highly recommend it.
