modelones Gel Nail polish has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and they never disappoint with these colors. This set came out, and I had to have it - it was perfect! The cat eye colors are absolutely beautiful! I used these on top of a black base color, and the designs turned out absolutely gorgeous with the universal, galaxy effects that I was looking for. They coat well with only one coat, so the opacity was ideal for a few coats. The drying time took no time at all without having to lay additional or heavier layers. The bottle sizes are always perfect when I want to try new colors and get experimental with new designs. The magnet that is provided does the job, although I'm considering buying a much stronger magnet now that a lot of my designs include the cat eye gel. That's my only suggestion: I wish that the magnet were stronger, as I feel like I have to go over it multiple times or apply a lot of extra effort to get the design to where I want it with the one provided. These colors were absolutely beautiful, though. I highly recommend them!

These colors are cute. Some are darker than others but I like them. I didn’t put them on my nails all the way so some of my nails look funky and some don’t

I really want to give these 5 stars because the color is beautiful and the application is smooth BUT the magnet is not great. It's hard to get a true cat eye because the magnet is bulky and hard to maneuver over the nail, other than that small flaw, this polish is gorgeous with an effortless application. The bottles are small 7ml bottles which is fine for me but ,may come as a surprise to others. I haven't noticed any peeling (nail prep is everything - if its peeling, it's generally not applied correctly). Decent price for what you get, you get 6 six colors.

STUNNING!! I'm not exactly sure why some are saying these aren't magnetic cat eye polishes, maybe they aren't familiar with them, but I can assure you, at least 3 of them ARE cat eye. It's exactly as described and pictured and I don't see it anywhere that it says that ALL of them are cat eye because it doesn't. The other 3 are gorgeous glitter gels. You can use these over a black base, but it's not necessary. They show up just fine without it. I'm a long time Modelones customer and I would love to get more cat's eye sets from them. Never disappointed with this brand. Good quality products at a great price. You really can't go wrong. Thanks.

This review only reflects Midnight Hues. Pros: 1. The 3 polishes that are magnetic are gorgeous and strong. 2. The 3 that are not magnetic are still uniquely beautiful. 3. I have tried several sets of magnetic polishes. In almost all sets half don’t work at all with a magnet so this is equal in that way compared to others. 4. This set is half the price of other magnetic sets. Yet, it performs better than most. 5. The polish is about the thickest I have ever tried. This makes a nice, thick coat that is solid (I did use it over glitter dark gray/black polish but still). 6. I cured it for a minute. Then I put on a top coat and cured for 2 minutes. It dried solid, smooth, and shiny. 7. The magnet that comes with it works well. 8. All 6 colors look great together 9. Giftable packaging. Arrived clean and Beautiful. 10. The 7ml containers are small. But most bottles in sets are now just 5ml so this is a deal! 11. You never have to put on a second coat to get a Great Look because the polish is so thick! Cons 1. Only 3 of the polishes are magnetic even though it says in the description that you will receive 6 magnetic/cat eye polishes. 2. Since the polish is so thick, you will use more polish at one time so that they won’t last as long as if they were thinner. So, really the pros outweigh the cons completely. But since it says that there would be 6 magnetic polishes and there are just 3, these didn’t meet my expectations. So, I have to rate them a 3 even though I like the set overall.

I got into doing my own gel manicures at home after realizing that the cost for the salon was not sustainable. I purchased the Space Journey set because I loved the colors and because Modelones uses a cleaner formula than other companies. The black is fully opaque after two coats. The purple cat eye is gorgeous with a clear distinction of color where the magnet pulled the material. I have pictured the range of color of the blue color change. I found that I needed three coats for full coverage, it is a very sheer color when at the warm end and would look interesting as a topper. The glitter in this polish is super fine and applies evenly. The chunkier glitter is in a clear base and sparkles nicely. The lighter purple is a shimmer and again only requires two coats for full coverage. And finally the final polish is a super shimmery, almost silvery champagne color that is a gorgeous subtle topper, or it can hold its own for a more nude look. This polish is not color changing, despite what the packaging looks like. I always prep and clean my nails before applying a base layer and finishing with a top layer. My manicures tend to last about a week with normal wear and tear, but that works for me because I like to change things up. I do not see it chip unless I do something that damages the nail itself. I have also found that if a nail starts to tear, the gel polish can stabilize the nail itself until it grows out long enough to be trim down.

These gel polishes work as expected and the formula itself is really nice and smooth to apply. The colors are accurate to the listing and come out very vibrant once cured, which I really like. I will say I wish the bottles were a little bigger since you do not get a ton of product in each one. I also was not fully sure how to use the magnetic stick, so that part could be a bit clearer. The polish seems to dry quick enough with the UV light I have. Overall, the quality is still really good and for the price, it is a nice set with solid color payoff.

A bit too small quantities

This brand works well for me. It's quite viscous so doesn't flow fast. Great for a novice like myself.
