LOVED IT! Couldn't put it down!
I really loved this story and the differences between the main characters. Lucy is so smart and qwerky and interesting with BIG worlds inside her head, while Felix is closed off and rigid in his work ethic to build and maintain his company. These two know each other from childhood as Felix is her brother's best friend and she has always loved him. When Lucy is looking to expand her social sphere, Felix does her mom a favor by hiring Lucy as an assistant at his company.A lot of misunderstandings and realizations throughout the book but this one was a delight to read. The side characters were amazing! They're going to lead to incredible new stories and I cannot wait for the next in this interconnected series! If you like office rom-coms with a Grumpy/Sunshine trope PLUS a brother's best friend trope...this one is for you!Loved it! Couldn't put it down! Highly recommend!5 Stars!

Wordy but Worth Reading
This was a well written well crafted book. The characters were believable . The settings lifelike. It's clearly written to Immerse the reader in England. So some of the phrases took a bit of thinking and context to understand which threw off the natural flow for this American reader. I also found myself extremely irritated with the female main character Lucy throughout a large part of the book. If it hadn't been for the educational aspect of her condition and all the humour I probably wouldn't have finished it.Feeling irritated by a fictional character and wanting to set them straight is one of the hallmarks of a very good book.In the end I didn't give it 5* because it felt too long. At many times in the book , even when I had just finished laughing , I would think " when's this book going to end" . All in all it's a good book.

So much feels!!
Starring Lucy Mayweather and Felix Moretti💜Older Brother’s Best Friend💜Grumpy/Sunshine💜Age Gap💜Boss/Employee💜Socially awkward heroine💜Heroine with a preexisting condition💜Small town girl adjusting to the big city💜His childhood nanny’s daughter💜Meddling mothersThis is my first Susie Tate book and I’m already anticipating all the books in this series. I absolutely loved this book. DAYDREAMER took me on a wonderful emotional journey and gave me the ugly cry af that I really needed.I don’t usually gravitate towards the heroine, but I love Lucy Mayweather. The title of the book describes her so well. In Felix’s world she’s chaotic and disorganized… and constantly lost in her daydreams. But she’s really a brilliant writer and her distractions is just her weaving her stories in her head.Lucy was such a perfect pairing for Felix… who was constantly a Mr. Grump. She got him to loosen up a bit. I did get soooooooo mad at the third act break up on this one because Felix was so out of line… and after what Lucy had been through minutes before the confrontation. But he did grovel and make up for it. And I was back to drooling over him. This story was highly enjoyable. Felix and Lucy made me chuckle. There is a a little bit of open door steam (could’ve been hotter… but that’s just my smutty angel talking). Y’all have to grab the bonus epilogue at the end of the book… so touching!!After one book Susie Tate is now sitting pretty on my keeper shelf. I really loved this book and I can’ wait to read more from her.

the cover fooled me!
I came across this book few times and never ended up getting it because the cover, it just somehow wasn't inviting enough for me to read it. Thank god for my book slump I decided to and man oh man how happy I am that I did. It's been a while that I felt deeply reading a book, not skipping and enjoying the ride, how satisfying!! I love how this book get straight to business, no filler pre story crap or too much inner dialogue that I hated so much. you just read that blurb and you'll get into the story right away. This story have everything I love from a book, I love both MC great side character, enough backstory to make me understand the relationship, great build up to the drama without dragging it, good grovel, I was so invested I woot, cried and giggle throughout.I'll be reading all the other books now coz I was damn curious how it would turns out. A must read!

adorable historia!

oh the angst!
Susie Tate does it again! Daydreamer is about Lucy, an epic fantasy author, who wants to get over her debilitating shyness. She leaves her small hometown to work for her childhood crush, Felix. He’s a business mogul and she’s a ‘crap’ assistant, so things don’t go exactly as she hoped. If you’ve been following my reviews, you’ll know I LOVE books where the heroine has a secret. In this case, she doesn’t tell anyone she’s a famous author. Felix has baggage of his own, and he has no idea that his assistant/best friend’s little sister has a secret career, OR that his colleague is bullying her. This book has a lot of angst, and it also has a lot of delicious groveling on Felix’s part! A must-read for those who crave the deception trope on lower scales (I mean, sometimes it’s fun to read about assassins, but this is more real-world)5 stars!

Wonderful read, sadness and laughter. Jeopardy but such a great read
Been meaning to get this book, had a day off so downloaded and so glad I did. This story is one of innocence and understanding, with a variety of characters that keep you reading, in one sitting for me.Lucy is a dreamer and her sweetness I found to be a lovely break from the hardness of reality. She is scatty, love thd use of doolally, something my nan would say. Felix is a sweetheart wrapped with a harder shell, most of us are just looking for a Felix! This story isn't a simple read where they fall and it's done, there is a deeper story that comes through. I genuinely had a little tear reading it. I'd highly recommend this book, spoiler there is a trigger for work violence but it's needed for the story.Loved this book and can't wait to read another one from this author ❤️
