10 to 12 Amp gets you from $20 to $30 price but when you need the overhead . . .
Running two 5 amp fans. Needed a little breathing room. Had to pay for it but is working well after 1 week.

Very Good Overall, Except:
I have purchased two of these in the past and they work very good for the voltage and loads they are designed for. But the included "female terminal connector" does not conduct on the "negative" side and has an open circuit internally. So I deducted one star for that.

Decent, but very audible. *update* Now Great!
Since writing the original review I was contacted by the seller Alitove and informed the unit I had my have a firmware issue causing it to become noisy, they sent me an updated unit that is absolutely silent. No more audible hum! So I’ve updated the rating accordingly. 1 extra Star for silence, and 1 for great customer service. On a side note, the green and black female dc jack is holding up well. Even at a full 8a, With no warmth.-original review-Works as designed but makes an audible noise under even a small load, just gets louder when drawing full 8 amps. Worried the female head it cane with will eventually give out as the green and black plastic heads are usually only rated for 5a will update if it does.

This thing is a piece of junk
Connected this power supply to run a 12-volt DC cooler. The cooler requires 53 Watts or 4.3 amps, this is an 8 amp power supply. I would think that an 8 amp power supply would be able to provide 4.3 amps of current without any problems. I was wrong, hooked this up the cooler it ran for about two hours and stopped working. when testing the cooler with an alternative 12 volt power supply cooler works fine. The power supply output is still12 V DC but it cannot provide the amperage to run the 53 watt cooler. I could ask for a replacement, but I'm afraid this China made power supply will fail me again. I think I will just return it.

Es potente y perfecto para mí. Se me arruinó un DVR de 16 cámaras marca Meriva, sus discos duros dejaron de grabar, compré dos discos duros nuevos pensando que ya había terminado su vida útil ... y tampoco funcionaron!! Entonces pensé que quizás era la fuente de poder que había perdido potencia con los años, y ya no podía levantar ambos discos duros, y así fue. Conecté este eliminador y santo remedio! Potencia e sobra! Todo volvió a funcionar perfecto hasta con los mismos discos que tenía ... y tengo dos discos duros WD Blue nuevecitos y guardados para la próxima ocasión! : )
