Phantom of the Opera - Souvenir Edition: Piano/Vocal Selections (Melody in the Piano Part)

As an intermediate player it can be hard to find arrangements that are easy enough to play, yet advanced enough that they sound like the real piece (i.e. not ‘easy piano' versions). It’s also hard to find pieces where the right hand plays the melody- so you can play it as a solo rather than an accompaniment- but also doesn’t *just* play the melody one note at a time. THIS BOOK IS THE PERFECT BALANCE. The pieces aren't that difficult to play, but they actually sound really good. Helpfully, there’s someone on YouTube who has played through all the versions from this book if you want to hear them- their username is 'Sound of Falling Tears.' Just type 'Phantom of the opera piano sound of falling tears' and you should find the playlist.

It is a great book but it is far more complicated than I thought it would be. My level of piano is too low still to start on these sheets but hopefully soon enough I will be able to play them. The music is wonderful.

Great music, but the book is of poor quality and multiple pages came loose from the binding on using it for the first time.

Returned this product as poor quality - contains wrong notes and wrong words. For example:p66, 3rd system, first two bars: bass note should be C flat (as per chord symbols in this copy)p44, 2nd system, first bar: "All I ask is" should be "Say you'll love me" (as per the libretto)I found another edition of "All I ask of You" which doesn't contain this misprint.Although described as "vocal selections", the piano part isn't an ideal accompaniment as it mostly just doubles the voice part. I have another edition of "Music of the Night" which has a much more interesting piano part with more movement, and an introduction. This book seems more like an easy piano version, which wasn't what I was looking for.

Excelente producto.

We have seen live performances of "Phantom" a number of times in London, Broadway and on the road. The most rewarding live performances require seats in the first few rows - hard to get a very expensive. This recorded presentation is as good as the best we have seen even when we have had the best seats in the house.The cast, orchestra and staging are brilliant, while the cinematography draws the viewer right into the events on stage in a way that can't be duplicated in a live performance. So, if you are a "Phantom" fan, this is a must-have!

Bought this for my daughter as I do not play the piano. She says it has what she needs so I would take her word for it. She learned to play as a child but hasn't touched the piano in years so we were looking for something that accommodated her skill level as she eased her way back in. It apparently filled the bill because she is pretty happy with it (she is a big fan of the Phantom).
