S.R. Smith pLX-PW60 Pool, 60-Watt, Light Gray

The media could not be loaded.  If like me you are replacing fiber optic you may run into the same problem as me and many others. I bought this system back in March and received it soon after. When opening the pool the water was in perfect condition and decided to wait till closing. Now I find out the lights will not fit into my current opening because like most of the installers 20 years ago the guy glued a 1" flex pipe onto the 1.5" fitting. Which means I do not have the 3.5" depth with a 1.5" diameter to accept the light fixture at the base of the trio LED's. BTW.. this info is not publish and I had to download the .pdf which I just downloaded today. (is now on this page)EDIT : I finally was able to install by drilling the hole deeper using a spade bit. Worked like a charm. The lights are bright and easy to connect. I am very happy with the amount of light, they are much brighter than the original fiber optics I had. Photos to follow.

Very easy to install. No need to drain the pool. My pool had just one fiber optic light, I replaced it with treo 5w light which does the job however wish I would have purchased the 7w Kelo after talking to S R Smith who told me the kelo is significantly brighter. I am adding a second light which I am running through the vacuum line which I do not use anymore. I would definitely recommend this light for anyone who is replacing fiber optic lighting.

I was going to DIY, but I started thinking, if I do something that burns down the house or Heaven forbid I accidentally electricute a loved family member while swimming... It's just not worth the $150.00 installation price of taking that kind of chance. The LED Pool Light I purchased for $89.00 + Tax from Amazon, works great with this new Pool Transformer with 100W for $148.00 + Tax from S.R.Smith Pool Equipment.

Changed a dead fiber light to LED. Needed a new power source. This was easy to mount to the block wall about 5 feet from the old fiber box. Ran the new light to this box. The new light and box cost me $350 and took an hour to install. The pool repair company wanted $1,200 to replace the fiber unit. LED is the way to go. Much brighter and color change options.
