This dongle is a bit unwieldy and not compact, but that isn't its fault - in this day where Apple just moved to USBC for everything a load of people living in households are awash with devices that are either USBA, Lightning, USBC or a combination of all the above!This makes it simple to have just one card reader that can be used on almost any device or laptop. I can use it on my older travel-abroad iPhone and iPad, my newer professional USBC apple products, and in some cases on older laptops with USBA.So it's a Swiss army knife SD card reader - and soon I'll get a camera that reads TF cards and it will sort that too!

Something a bit special.
The media could not be loaded. Â Recently I have got a camera that has the capability to record to a micro SD card. Only one problem, I didn't have a card reader and so the search was on. I have seen dozens of card readers now but this particular one offers something that none of the others, that I have seen, does. That is the three terminations of USB A, C and Lightening on three different cables. It's a small thing in one way because I could possibly use adapters to change the fitting but to have all three just readily available cuts down on the necessity to have those adapters to hand and is so much more convenient and user friendly. It will mean that I can use the reader on each of my 3 PCs and also with my iphone. Another useful function could be the inclusion of a Lightening charging port so that your phone can be recharged whilst reading any files on the card you have inserted. That could be very handy if you are unsure if the power in your phone would be sufficient to transfer large files.The device is well made although, for durability, I would have preferred braided cables. I have had PVC cables split but have never had a braided cable do the same. It is plug and play and I was able to read my camera's SD card on all of my devices and so I am very satisfied.Value wise this reader is quite a bit more expensive than most, even those being of 8 in 1 functionality, however it does offer something that I have not seen before and for it's convenience may just be worth the premium price.

File it, job done
Very handy gadget for transferring from SD and microSD cards onto other devices. I found video files took a while to transfer but as Im not IT techy this may be more to do with file size, my laptop etc. However it does the job and I'm very happy with it
