Nice looking toaster, easy to use & clean, all in very nice

Works great, toasts even.

The toaster is a top brand and thus should be very well made and solid, but does feel a bit too plasticky. It toasts well and the temperature gauge works well.

I had to buy this model at short notice, as the previous Bosch toaster I bought was subject to a recall, which was a shame. Nevertheless, this one is good, too - it works well and looks smart. The only downside compared with the last one is that if you toast frozen bread, you have to press the ‘defrost’ button each time - it doesn’t remember that setting. It’s not a big problem and I think it would toast the frozen bread okay without pressing the button.

Last Bosch toaster has been brilliant over 25 years daily use, so bought another Bosch, rubbish, bread slice won’t fit, slots should be wider, very disappointing.

Works well

I have had a lot of toasters in my 52 years of marriage. Over the years they haven't seemed to last very long, nor did you get particularly good toast, so I paid a little more for the Bosch. The moral to this story is it has seemed to payoff. W get consistently nice toast, even though it is ever so slightly lighter on one side. Can someone tell me why on all toasters why the elements are bigger or burn brighter on one side than the other, is is something that is inherent in the design? It looks good on the kitchen worktop and is easy to maintain. The crumb tray at the back is not a problem as I always pick the toaster up to shake out the crumbs as well as moving the tray.

I can't say that this is the best Bosch appliance we have in our home because it's behaving like the numerous toasters before it - not toasting evenly. Toasts one side more than the other and the heat control needs to be tweaked every time another slice of bread goes in. Never performed perfectly since it arrived. Just can't find one that works right every time so have kind of given up.
