Stopped my sink behaving like a bloke at a urinal
Had a problem where my sink was putting more “water” on the floor than a bloke at a pub urinal (still don’t actually understand how so much ends up on the floor… for both aforementioned scenarios).Put my DIY hat on and began investigating. Found a split seal on the waste trap - how does a tightly sealed piece of rubber split?? Took some careful measurements and ordered this replacement, fitted it swiftly and my bathroom floor is no longer under water.Excellent!

Handy to have
Expensive for what you get, but of course I didn’t have to buy them. As replacement seals they did the job and no more leaks, what more can one say.

Not an original McAlpine product
These are generic O-rings and not a genuine McAlpine part. They were slightly too wide and difficult to fit into the space available. They did stop the leak, but more difficult to fit than the real thing.
