This product is easy to use great if you struggle to open lids

I bought this as a disability aid due to increasing difficulties with my hands, it’s amazing, you simply plonk it on the jar, press the button, then again for a bit longer, and again, then it works out what you want. First the inner jaws seek out the lid and latch on. Next the outer jaws clamp on, and the opening begins! It whirrs and clanks away remorselessly turning, then you jump out of your skin when it breaks the vacuum seal! I was demonstrating it to a friend, she nearly had a heart attack when the finally lid popped. Anyway, the opening continues, it keeps going, goes back a little and stops. The jaws release, you lift it off, and your jar is unopened, with the lid left of top of the jar. No more stabbing lids with knives, bending spoons under the rim, anything to break the vacuum seal, no more dropped jars, tears of frustration, and an unholy amount of swearing.The unit is nice and bright. I would be happier if it had a rechargeable battery instead of the AA batteries it requires.I suspect if you have (grand)kids you might walk into a kitchen full of giggles and every single jar of absolutely everything opened as they play “guess how long until it pops”. It’s like the Buckaroo game but with jars and less mess.

Cheap plastic rubbish. It was very difficult to get the back on or off. The tiny metal sensor just broke off. I just put it in the bin.

I would be handicapped without this wonderful battery operated tool. It opens jars from mint sauce size to big jars of beetroot and pickles. Nice looking too. What a boon to have in the kitchen drawer.

This gadget was brilliant , saves the pain in my hands when trying to open jars and other things.

I have been using the manual one so far. Gave this a try and was pleasantly surprised how useful it is. Recommended.
