How I have managed without this I do not know. This is absolutely brilliant and at a fantastic price. I have recently started to learn how to quilt and have been cutting my pieces using my large mat and having to manually turn it to cut each size. I've been managing and I suppose I could have carried on with my large mat but this makes the process so much easier and quicker and (I think) exact as there is always the chance of my ruler moving as I turn my big mat. This is a good quality mat and the rotation is very easy to do, I am thrilled with it.

At the moment I’m struggling to see the value in this mat. It’s easier to turn the whole mat than rotate the top & I could’ve bought a better quality self healing 12” cutting mat for the same price to do that.I’m hoping it loosens up because at the moment as a rotating mat it’s pretty redundant.I’d love to get my hands on an expensive one to see if it’s worth saving up for.I’ll persevere and edit if necessary later.

This is for a birthday present.It’s a fab design and excellent quality. Love the size which means you can trim 12” blocks easily.

Wanted a rotating mat for ages, went for a cheaper one and am disappointed as the pressure is lessened by the mechanical parts. So it doesnt cut right through in the middle section, unless you use extra pressure which is hard on the hands. I also found pink harder on the eyes.

This is a good piece of kit as am just starting to do patchwork and this makes it much easier to cut as it turned easy. Only down side is the smell of the board but hopefully that will fade , would recommend

I’ve recently been cutting 2.5” squares from scraps and this is so useful. Had to reread the reviews to be honest because it seemed so cheap compared to one I’d seen on a famous USA quilting company’s site. This cost almost three times less than that and it’s excellent. Really pleased I decided to give it a go.

This is a must-have for anyone doing English Paper Piecing, fussy cutting, or anything generally where you want to rotate the item not yourself! Some reviews state that they couldn't get it to rotate, so it is worth noting that the top layer (cutting mat itself) rotates, not the white section below (pic attached). I have only had it a couple of days so can't comment on its longevity in terms of self-healing, etc. so will update at a later date.

Using for painting and colouring, rather than cutting. Rotates easily to save from contorting your arm and hand. Removes the need to move actual paper or card so avoiding smudges and mucky finger prints. Slim board so can leave on worktop without it getting in the way.
