Tough, fibrous peppers. Not happy with quality. Wouldn’t purchase again.

I’m a 1/4 of the way through the jar. I bought this only because mezzeta peppercinnis do not come in bulk, so I’m going to compare these to them. From the 4 brands I looked at, this was the only one that had vinegar as an ingredient like mezzeta instead of being substituted with plain acetic acid.The texture is somewhat inconsistent in comparison to mezzeta. Whenever I bite into mezzeta’s there’s always a burst of the brine in my mouth. The brine does a good job of taking the edge off the initial heat. The brine in mezzeta jars are filled to the top. I don’t get this amount of brine with these peppers. The liquid level in the jar is below the top of the peppers. Brine level delivered at 60%. I’m assuming the peppers that aren’t submerged in the brine are drying out.The jar was packaged with the plastic grate covering and pressing down on the peoprs. I’m sure this pressure doesn’t help with the lack of brine inside each pepper either.I can’t wait to get to the bottom of the jar where the peppers are submerged in the jar. I’m sure it’ll be great and I’ll come back and say otherwise if not.

I love these peppers so much! I like the grate at the top and the ease of the lid. These are a perfect after work snack.
