This appears to be a well made unit and the price also seems to be OK although it is hard to compare directly with other feeders as they all tend to be slightly different designs which also means it is tricky to tell which works best.Although I live in a very rural location I do not own chickens, we used to have chickens roaming in the garden from next door but they are destructive critters and also started pinching our cats food. So they now have limited freedom (our neighbours decision after they devoured my jam doughnut in seconds).A very good friend is going to test this out for me to give feedback. The one thing I have noticed is it needs to be on something solid like a slab or similar to operate smoothly. 5 stars for now but I will return once I have more info and a few home grown eggs

This has gone to grandad for testing in Ireland - as he has a farm and about 20 chickens on site! He has reported back that it is an excellent feeder and that the design is well executed.Good materials (galvanised steel) will clearly last and withstand the elements.Pedal design works very well and the chicken very soon worked it out. Holds a good amount of feed so it doesn’t need constant refilling.Stable design too as long as it’s on a flat surface, which goes without saying really.Comes highly recommended.
