Pocket door hardware can be trickey and often feels flimsy to me. Not the case with this item. The locking mechanism is firm and secure, the finish is nice (matte black is what I ordered). It feels and looks like a quality product. That being said, per my professional carpenter, he said it took a long time to install. But it looks and works great! I'd recommend.

Installed this on a set of double barn doors on a bathroom and another on a pantry. Install was a little tricky, but that's because they were solids doors and is in no way a fault of the hardware. Once installed they work great and look even better. Very useful having a lockable bathroom door (off the master bed) and even more so a lockable pantry to minimize munching when company is over.

I replaced the pocket door handle on my bathroom because we remodeled the room and the old handle did not go with the new color scheme.
