Solid
This is a really solid mount that will take abuse if needed, the pre drilled holes mean lots of position adjustments.

Most versatile mounts I have ever used, does so much more than advertised
I love this ball and socket mounting system. Sure, they are listed for specific purposes and intended to fit certain models. But they are universally versatile and often work where nothing else will. In this case I needed a large base to support an unframed mirror tile. Normally the mirror is mounted on a flat surface and gets its support from there. But I needed to mount the mirror suspended out from the wall at a highly unusual angle. My working desk has me sitting with the window to the side and behind me slightly. So it was often a surprise when visitors came to the door, or I was always having to turn to look outside when hearing unusual noises. Mounting a mirror above my monitors was the solution, but the odd angle was a problem. This ball and socket mount was the answer. The normal base for the wall attachment and the arm were fairly standard. But the large surface area provided by the fish finder mount took a little more searching. But taking the time to scroll all the base and mount options is almost always going to find something that should work. And it worked like a charm here providing a firm base for the mirror tile.

WINDFRD Aluminum Fish Finder Mounting Plate with 1" / B Size Ball
Very nice solid anodized aluminum ball mount. It is pre-drilled for a few different configurations/models and they also include a set of 4 9/16" long M5 stainless steel Philips head machine screws with matching nylon insert lock nuts. Although I do not have a fish finder to be able to check accuracy of the pre-drilled holes I do have several other projects and uses I gave planned for this 1" 'B' mount. As with other mounts that I have receive so far from this specific manufacturer 'WINDFRD' I highly recommend them as every one has been very good quality.

sturdy with lots of screw holes for attachment
This plate sturdy with lots of screw holes for attachment of various devices. I used it for attaching a dry box so I had a lot of flexibility as to placement of the nuts and bolts. The hardware is stainless steel with adequate length. The neck of the ball is always the weak point on this type of device and it is thick with good smooth machining so I think it will last.

Great Ball Mount Plate
I picked up this plate to admittedly use to mount a solar panel/battery for a trail camera. Though not used as designed, it works great for my use. The panel I recently picked up already had a ball mount system, but it required the mount be screwed into the tree, which is not allowed on public land. By using this plate, I'm able to strap the mount to the tree, then mount the panel with the rest of the mount it came with. The plate is well made, and the aluminum is thick with no flex. The ball is made with a softer material, so the mount doesn't slip at all.All-in-all, a great ball mount plate that has many uses.
