These Work Well
First timer finds. The metal is good and tough. I used on mid. TN sedimentary-locally called TN Limestone. 1/2 inch drill hole, inserted the wedges so they could expand after they were pounded down. The feathers need to be set to push the two rocks away from each other. The break was good for my purposes. Did not have precision in mind.No directions sent but video is available on AMZ order page or uTube. Get the rock powder out of the hole before insertion-I think this helps quite a bit.

Quality wedge and feather set
I'm using these to make bigger rocks into smaller rocks here on the homestead. Impressed with the quality of these. Not my first set but I am pleased with the quality at this price point.

Wedge is 4.125" long, 0.5625" diameter. Machined.
These wedge and feathers work great for splitting boulders. In my very amateur opinion, they seem to work best on igneous and metamorphic rock. I've had mixed results using these on sedimentary rock. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Sandstone does better than mudstone. I've only ever used these on "backyard" boulders, not on purchased, quarried stone. These have been machined clean after casting. The wedge is 4.125 inches long. It's widest diameter (across vertices) is .5625 inch wide. The diameter between two flat faces is .5 inch wide.I ordered a similar set of wedges and feathers several years ago. These are much better quality for a similar price.
