I work with exhaust for a living. I do exhaust manifolds and headers on a regular basis.These are great quality and can even be used on 10mm bolts and studs.Split lock washers can sometimes stretch and come apart. These won’t. These are also thinner than a traditional split/lock washer which can come in handy if the bolt is a little short or thick flange on a manifold or header.

Type 420 Stainless Steel
If you need to use Stainless Steel Internal/External Star Lock Washers, type 420SS is harder, more durable, and provides better "locking" strength than type 304SS. Though 420 is SLIGHTLY less corrosion-resistant than 304, it is still PLENTY GOOD ENOUGH.
