What’s not to love about silicone?
Silicone has so many more practical uses these days than when it first became available: think implants ;) It is durable, easy to clean, colorful, and you can find all kinds of sizes. I like the ridged mats, although they’re a bit harder to clean, especially if you have hard water. I found one particular use that’s handy if you have a smooth-top dryer that seems to either angle downward, or hates having anything on top of it. I use this mat atop and voila! I can fold clothes and leave them while the dryer is running and they stay put. It’s the little things for me, folks. I use them under the dish drainer, under the cat fountain, under pet food bowls, gardening mat, under cutting boards, and heat protection in the kitchen. There are likely way more uses, so go ahead, use your imagination.

Update: Best alternative to a large dish rack configuration
Originally I stated: While the mat is overall very high quality, it just doesn't do the job. After 3 months of use, I've realized it does the best for what can be expected for a waterproof mat on a flat surface. I much prefer to leave this sleek mat on my counter than the alternatives of a dish towel or large dish tray configuration. The ridges are high enough that you can set glasses, bowls, pans etc, flat on the surface and there is plenty of room for water to drip down. However, there is no magic that makes the mat "quick dry" as described, water evaporates at its normal rate. As you can see in the photo with the strainer, water pools on the mat (photo taken after 10 hours), and items often require a quick swipe with a dishtowel before putting them away. After daily use I've decided that's not a big deal. The mat is a great thickness yet rolls up easily if one prefers to stow it away.I purchased the 18" x 24" mat and I love the large size. It's sleek and looks good enough to leave on the countertop. It is high quality silicone, has no smell whatsoever, a smooth mole skin feel, and no degradation thus far.The surface is perfect with no flaws, and it always lays flat.It is easy to clean.Mine is on the countertop 24/7. I’ve used it for 3 months and it looks as good as new.The mat stays put and does not slip around. However, when the top of the mat is wet with water droplets, it is in fact VERY slippery.NOTE: If leaning items against each other (i.e. bowls or plates), be sure to place the edges between ridges, as they are tall enough to keep items in place. I have my mat oriented so that in the unlikely event that items do slip, they will remain on the countertop and not slip to the floor.

Great Product, Smaller Than Expected
This dish mat is great in the way it doesn't collect junk or get moldy at all while drying dishes. IT came within two days of ordering. It was smaller and thinner than I had expected but the quality is a sturdy rubber with ridges to keep our dishes from falling when we stack them in mountains. But overall, I would recommend it.

Perfect little drying mat
This mat works perfectly for drying small items next to sink. Good quality, love the mint, cones in several colors. Easy to clean, just wipe down. Ridges let air get in all around item.

Nice size and drains well
The ridges are low so items don't tip on it..easy to clean. Fits beside sink well.

Not Quite the Perfect Drying Solution
I purchased the Gorilla Grip Dish Drying Mat to replace my old, worn-out drying mat, and my feelings are mixed. What I appreciated was the size; it comfortably accommodates a decent amount of dishes and the 18x24 inch dimensions suit my counter space well. The slip-resistant silicone feature is great, keeping the mat steady while handling wet dishes, which is definitely a plus. However, I wasn’t completely satisfied with the drying speed. While the product is marketed as a “Quick Dry Pad”, I found it didn’t live up to that claim. Water tends to pool on the surface rather than be absorbed or evaporate quickly, so I ended up having to wipe it down a few times after washing a load of dishes.Another slight drawback is the heat resistance feature. While it’s advertised as being heat-resistant, it did not fare well when I placed my hot pots on it. The surface seemed to withstand the heat initially, but over time, I noticed a few subtle marks indicating some damage. On the positive side, I found the mat to be quite easy to clean. The waterproof design makes it easy to rinse off or toss in the dishwasher. This is a big convenience factor, and I appreciate not having to hand-wash it.In summary, the Gorilla Grip Dish Drying Mat is a decent purchase for the size and easy cleaning, but it doesn’t quite deliver on its quick-dry and heat-resistant promises. While it might be a reasonable choice for small kitchen tasks, for heavy-duty usage and hot cookware, you might want to consider alternatives.Thank you for reading my review. I hope it helps you make an informed decision. Happy shopping!

No more mildew smell
Switched from the fabric dry mats to this. So much better as the cloth smells after a while no matter how often you wash them. Like the ridges and it is a soft silicon. Definitely worth it.

The mat is exactly what was advertised. The colour is beautiful and the mat does exactly what it was intended to do. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great dish mat!

Handy
So much better than fabric ones as they eventually stink even after washing. Only downside if you get a dark colour is you will see soap/mineral stains within just a few uses. A short soak and light scub with CLR will keep it looking stain free.
