Most non power wind up once have up to a 2 minute variance which I can not accept in a kitchen. Sure they do use batteries, but it beat having inconsistent cook times where a a 1 minute variance could be under or over cooking an item.They are easy to set, and use and I like the magnetic feature since I can set the time and stick on a a steel surface to be able to glance at it from across the kitchen and read how much time I have left. That is also another feature that is not seen in more traditional wind up timers.

This is an updated review because of my initial experience of receiving a broken item. The customer service team was impeccable and showed interest in assuring that I received a product that reflected their services and quality. I’m beyond impressed with the product and with the level of service I received. Great product and great company.

Beware, the dial to set a timer is super stiff. Every time when I tried turning the dial while it’s on the fridge door, the magnets aren’t strong enough to hold. The device just ends up turning in circle. It takes forever to set the timer.Or, I have to remove it from the fridge door, rotate the dial, put it back on the fridge door, then press the button to start the timer. It would have been okay, but it also doesn’t have a stand. I might as well just use my phone timer.In the battle between the timer and magnets, both the timer and the magnets lost.

I'm gonna keep playing with it but I can't get it to go past one hour so if I want to do something on the barbecue and slow roll a chicken let's say, I would probably slow roll it for 3 to 4 hours and this timer does not seem capable of doing hours..... So I'm gonna keep playing with it maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't think so.
