These are really nice and you can't beat the price. They hold up to my son's every day play and they're really cute. The white one is my favorite.

These trains are the real deal. They’re made of wood, with heavy magnets on the ends. It reminds me of the train track set I got as a child for Christmas back when I was small. Now my son also gets to experience the joys of putting together tracks and pushing these bad boys around. I highly recommend this set!

I am definitely glad to have found this brand , and these definitely did not disappoint. They are fantastic, made of good quality wood, and not only are compatible with all of the different brands of track that we have, but they connect easily to themselves and other trains. These have given us even more entertainment than I have expected, and I really do love, but they are made of wood. It does seem to hold true that they can hold about three cars at once until you start to have issues going around corners if you’re using any type battery operated attachment, but in general, you can connect as many of these as you want and they work really well!

When I opened this I was so happy that everything went smoothly. They connect nicely with the magnetic feature, the colors are absolutely beautiful.. And they roll nicely without any of the wheels getting stuck. My son is absolutely addicted to trains and he absolutely has a blast for hours with these!

I've got a portable train set for our grandkids (1 1/2 and almost 3) to play with, but they don't like the flat wooden trains that came with it. Somehow, we ended up with one wooden train from a well known brand that they all fight over. So, when I saw this Sainsmart 9-piece set of three different trains, I snatched it up. I've purchased the Sainsmart wooden alphabet blocks before, and they are topnotch, so I was hopeful these would be great too. They definitely live up to my expectations and beyond. First, they are packaged nicely and come in a wooden storage box that feels sturdy and should last a long time. The trains are all solid wood, and smoothly painted with great details, and no rough spots. The paint is a little smudged on the top of one of the red cars, but it is barely noticeable, and there are no other imperfections that I can see on any of the other pieces. The wheels all turn smoothly and they fit perfectly on the portable playset. They are also great for free play on the floor, table, etc. I'll be purchasing a set of wooden train tracks soon, and after seeing how nice these trains are, I'll probably go with the Sainsmart tracks, if they are available. This is a great set of trains for the price, and you can really tell this company cares about the quality of their products, even down to the packaging.

Got this little set for my nephews (3 & 4), who can be tough on toys, but they absolutely love em. the 3 trains are nicely detailed, they're sturdy enough to survive rough play and being tossed around with only a little paint wear to show for it. this train set is great, would definitely recommend.

This is a cute train set and a great deal for the current asking price as of this review. The set is wood, and fits your standard wooden train tracks. It is well made, painted nicely, sanded smooth, and every train has magnets on the front and back excerpt for the white engine. It’s compatible with other wooden trains as well. The one and only con it has are the magnets - while they do adhere to each other (with just as strong as a connection as any wooden train out there), sometimes they can be a little offset (I am not talking about the polar opposites, I am meaning that they don’t always line up in the middle of the magnet, so that some of the trains seem to connect a little off center). Regardless, my grandson was thrilled to get this and played with it all evening! Comes in a wooden box (that I am sure will be used for anything a little one can imagine - right now it’s a parking garage for hot wheels!) and is definitely giftable. Absolutely recommended!!
