Works great
I freeze both trays with the food, but them in the feeder and set the timers to go off at various times. I can be gone all weekend and not worry about my cat not being fed.

Simple Solution
I think before buying any auto feeder you should ask the purpose, mine is so my 2 cats can get a portioned serving in the evening during my long work hours. I set out there morning meal in standard bowls and put there evening meal in these bowls, which is a small portion of wet food and some dry. I put a small amount of wet food on one side and a small amount of dry on the other. The timer is a simple turn and set it device and run on batteries. For this one meal a day purpose, this is perfect. There are two versions and since I bought two, one for each cat, I got one with the bag version of the ice pack and one with the hard plastic version of an ice pack. Which was a surprise, I expected them to be identical. So it seems to be a grab bag chance if you get one or the other. The gel bag version has a slightly deeper bowl then the one with the hard plastic ice pack. Since I only put wet food in one side, this just means I have a spare set of ice packs to keep in the freezer and since I am not trying to delay food multiple days, the size of the ice pack serves my uses just fine. The timer is imprecise but that's to be expected with a turn dial. I tried this a few times while I was home all day and one chamber did open several hours before the other on one occasion, despite them being set the same. But it was still far enough from the early day feeding time that the early open wasn't a big deal for the purpose. And it only happened once. I've made it standard to prepare meal two in the morning so that the cats expect meal 2 from the timed bowl (even when I'm home) and most of the time it doesn't open early. My only complaint is the ice packs are an odd size (whatever version you get) and it's not easy to find alternates should they need to be replaced. I would never use this version of an auto feeder for a long trip or multiple days of an absence from the home. But for my daily use of making sure they get an evening meal when I have late nights at work, it works great. Some folks have said the timer is loud, but they must have sensitive ears and be sitting on top of it. I certainly hear it enough to know the timer is going, but I can barely hear it when I'm in the kitchen with it and certainly can't hear it when I'm not in the kitchen area. And I live in a converted basement one bedroom. It basically has a similar mechanism to a battery powered wall clock and the tick of the timer is at about that level, if not quieter.

Unreliable
I returned the first one received because it simply did not work. The second worked, sometimes. The timing indicators are not true. For example a one hour setting can be anywhere from 40 to 120 minutes.Furthermore the ice packs are tiny. If they had not built the ice pack holder with a divider you could double the ice pack or use a substitute ice pack.Do yourself a favor and get a Cat Mate c20 instead. The Cat Mate C500 has precise timing but if you just need to provide two meals it’ll do.

Easy to use.
Good for one night away. I froze the food before we left. There is a ticking noise but it’s quiet. not loud at all. My cat ate from it just fine.

Works, timer is loud
First, and most importantly- it works as expected for opening/closing/setting the timerSecond- the timer is way louder than I expected. Think of the old clock in your granny’s kitchen in the 70s and 80s. Not a bad noise, but you can absolutely hear it.Third- even though there is an ice pack for each side, it’s not a big one and the rest of the unit isn’t insulated at all, so I would probably hesitate to use this for longer than 24hrs if keeping the food chilled is important

Good Product
I bought this back in March 2024 so I just now got to take it out of the box and try it. At first,I could not figure it out how it worked and the instructions have a lot to desire and kind of unclear. So I went to Youtube to see of any one had a review on this product and all there was, was a commercial and the comments were the same as mine. I finally figured it out after a half hour. So here goes; I feed my cat 4 times a day every 5 hours, so I set the clock for 5:00 and every 5 hours, one door pops open. You have to reset it every day. One important point, put your food in BEFORE you set the clock for the door will lock on you and your`ll have to reset it and start all over, BUT it`s not that complicated. It`s really simple after I figured it out. You don`t have to go through a multiple individual clock settings for each time for feeding. This seems to be a good product and I`ll be using it here very soon. Yes, I recommend this product.

Description Says One-Year Guarantee, But There is No Way to Reach Them--Even Through Amazon
One gel pack broke, leaking all over and rendering it useless. The ice pack on our previous feeder was hard plastic. I think there is a reason why gel packs are sold in large quantities--they break. But there was no way to reach this company to ask for a replacement , despite their stated One-Year Guarantee. Not on their site and Amazon couldn't help. Still, the lines on the timer started to rub off almost immediately, so it was eventually not going to work even if both gel packs survived. The timer is strange, as the opening is 180 degrees from where you set the timer (with a little red hairline). Also it was off by a half hour.On the positive side, we found it very reliable, once you learned how to set it up right. Also we really liked that there were two batteries, and they were screwed in under a cover. The battery on our previous feeder often fell out, and that eventually made it something we couldn't count on.

Works As Intended
I Think It’s Clever, It Works And Keeps The Catfood Fresh. I Am A Little Uncomfortable That It’s Battery Operated……What if The Battery Dies? Each Number Represents 1 Hour. It’s Easy To Test That Yours Is Also in Good Working ConditionIcepacks Are Hard Ones, And Will Last A Long Time

Zuverlässig
Einfache Handhabung.

Top Zufriedenheit
Funktioniert und tut was es soll. Ging beim ersten Versuch nicht direkt auf aber beim 2. mal dafür. Kühlakkus halten keine 24 Stunden aber das ist i.o. Für kleine Katzen sehr gut geeignet.

Too noisy
The feeder is a good size and sturdy . However, to set the timer it’s a dial with a small red marker which isn’t easy to see. It is also very noisy. You can hear it ticking all the time. The only way of stopping that is removing the batteries when not using the timer. You have to use a screwdriver to remove batteries so a lot of fuss. Returned and received a refund immediately. Shame as it looked like a good feeder

Unreliable
Worked fine for 1st few months. Then, the timer stop working. I tried to change the battery to see if it the issue. That did not work. My kitten didn't have any food for 8 hours because of this faulty product (on 2 occasions). Not impressed at all.
